One Week Until Valentine's
Feb. 6th, 2006 10:37 pmI know "Dingbots In Love" will be ready -- it just needs to be cleaned and colored. And I think I can pull off doing "Sparky Valentine" too.
-TD: Is a mechanical heart that's also a music box such a bad present?-
Well, you have to admit, it's rather unusual.
-TD: That's what makes it fun!-
-OD: What I don't understand is why you wouldn't make her some sort of super-powered telescope. *tentacles chatter* Unless, as the kids suggest, you're saving that for a birthday present?-
-TD: Yes -- Valentine's Day lends itself to less practical presents.-
-VD: It's a music box made out a mechanical heart. Yes, I'd say that's pretty much not practical.-
Why not get her a small death ray?
-TD: She's a construct, not a fellow Spark.-
-H: Note to self, remind Jager boyfriend that death ray would be much more appreciated then bloody possibly-human heart.-
Let me set your mind slightly at ease and assure you it's an animal heart.
Worked mostly on "Teen Doc" today -- I should have the final chapters up on FF.net tomorrow, and the whole story up on Back To The Vampire by the end of the week.
-D: Ahh, good. Another NonTrilogy off the list. And next up will be. . . .?-
Not sure yet. I gotta sort through the NonTrilogy I've written and figure out which comes soonest in the time line. I am trying to do these roughly chronologically. Which means the next NonTrilogy I'll actually be writing will probably be "Past Amnesia" -- it comes after "Dark Half."
-J: Oooh, is that my story?-
Heh, yeah. In fact, "Dark Half" is the whole reason this is a Jennifer and Doc adventure -- Marty's still a little fragile, so Jennifer doesn't want to get his help for fear of over-stressing him.
-M: Why do I get the feeling that's going to backfire?-
Just a little. And luckily she has PossiblyMoody!YoungDoc to help her.
-VD2: Possibly Moody? I see you're still on the fence about setting the story around the Jill breakup.-
It would be an interesting angle, I have to admit.
-DW: *sarcastically* Yes, torturing us is always interesting.-
Hey, I barely tortured you -- you have the same backstory, only in anthro form, but that's it. You're almost pure muse.
-VD: If he wants to stick up for us, I say he's welcome to.-
-TD: Do any writing on "Boy Genius?" It is a GG update day, after all.-
Yup, writing and typing. I'm thinking of retitling the chapters "issues."
-E: Why's that?-
Chapter 1 is ten pages long. Chapter 2 is looking to be twelve.
-OD: O.o Even "Eight Arms" didn't start off with a TEN-PAGE opening chapter.-
-VD2: o.O Nor did "World of Darkness." I think our longest fics record is about to be broken, OckDoc.-
-TD: *blushgrin*-
And yes, some editing on "V.D." -- I'm changing some initial reactions to Doc's vampirism and such.
