Happy Belated Birthday, Lorraine!
Jun. 1st, 2006 10:33 pmYeah, fan fiction reading prevented me from updating yesterday (that and LJ being a bit of a spaz). At least I didn't have the Martys breathing down my neck yesterday -- they took off to visit their moms.
-M: Yeah, it was nice to see her and the family again. We took her out to dinner.-
-M2: Same here.-
-MF: Ditto -- though we hunted down our own dinner.-
Wha? You guys don't have backstory.
-DW: No, but you were kind enough to provide us with a furry version of Marty's family. We visited them.-
Oooh, ok. So we're talking LorraineFox/Cat.
-MF: Yeah, basically. Though why the mix?-
I couldn't decide what she should be -- so I made her into a fox with cat ancestry. Blame Genensims and their fox recolor of the cat tail.
-VM: Visiting my mom was a bit nervewracking. Luckily I was able to get her out of the Pleasure Paradise for a while. We played mini-golf.-
-M: Hell Valley has mini-golf?-
-VM: Well, it was a fairly twisted course. . . .-
-VuM: We did the dinner thing. Though a lot of people interrupted to ask me about the wing harness.-
-VDM: Visited Mom and Dad's graves. *sniff*-
-TD: *patpat* There there. We're here for you.-
-VM: *patpat* We sympathesize, buddy.-
-VD: Did you get anything done on "V.D." while we were back in Hill Valley?-
I finished up the dream part of the Sucker sequence, mostly. I actually eliminated some of the action -- which I suppose makes sense, given that you're a human fighting against a vampire at the time.
-VD2: Yes, Sucker did seem to take his sweet time with him.-
-VD: Did you still use the stove incident?-
Yeah -- don't worry, you weren't burned too badly.
-D: You must live off our angst somehow.-
I just like putting you in an optimum cuddling position! Is that so wrong?
-D: You gave me a PSYCHOPATH for a twin brother!-
-VD: I was severely injured by a soulless vampire!-
-VD2: Two words -- Southdale Sanitarium.-
-OD: I was electrocuted and nearly had a fatal allergic reaction!-
-TD: My father is actively trying to murder me.-
-DW: I don't have a backstory to angst about yet.-
*Other Docs look at DocWolf*
-OD: And you want backstory why?-
-DW: I feel left out! Come on, Vic, you must have some backstory for me.-
There was this one idea that you're from the future and are the result of illegal genetic experimentation, as is MartyFox there.
-DW: So I'd essentially be a sort of clone of a more canonical Doc? What about GypsyFox?-
Well, yes -- Gypsy would be the genetic clone of someone Doc crushed on (or a combination of Clara's DNA with someone else's).
-MF: Weird. So I actually wouldn't have a family, would I?-
Well, we can always go with an all-furry world idea instead, an AU BTTF.
-TD: I get two histories -- why not them?-
Because there's a name discrepancy. Since CanonDoc and the rest exist in the "FutureFurs" idea, DocWolf and MartyFox (along with JenniferCat) would need different names.
-DW: So what -- *eyes widen* YOUR FURKIN!-
Bingo. Though I have a few regrets about Suzy Kittencall now -- sounds a bit like a pornstar name, doesn't it?
-MF: Yeah, it does. I think we'll stick with FurryBTTF -- I like being MartyFox.-
Yeah. Means I don't have to magically deage DocWolf either.
-DW: Well, I wouldn't mind THAT so much.-
Heh.
-D: I hope "Past Amnesia" is coming along all right.-
Yeah. I think you guys are going to have to accept a tradeoff -- becoming more productive with my written stuff seems to lead to a decrease in the typing.
-TD: I'll get the steam-powered poking stick and the Lego gun.-
-OD: *tentacles pokepoke me* If that's the problem, do some fanart in the mornings instead.-
I should get going on the Girl Genius Puppet Pals. *plans to do that over the weekend*
-J: . . . Uh, why are you smiling like that?-
-J2: Did we miss something?-
-M: If you did, we did.-
Oh, it's nothing -- you see, we have a new girl at work. And now, everyone's schedules are getting rearranged. My hours are staying basically the same--
But I have Mondays off.

You are aware I spend almost none of it? Though I have been thinking of springing for a new computer. The Vaio worries me lately, and my Sims game is getting jerky. :(
-MDC: Shiny?-
Heh -- if I had my way, STEAMPUNKY. I'd love a computer painted to look like something from Girl Genius -- or, better yet, Doc's time train! I think I'll settle for one with a bigger harddrive and less crap pre-installed, though.
-TD: Let me build you a computer! I'm getting better with the size issues!-
Uh -- thanks, but I doubt you could intergrate my graphics card into steampunk.
-TD: Is that a challenge?-
