X-3 Thoughts

( Under A Cut, Just In Case )

For those who don't want to click -- reasonably good day at the movies, but no, it's not quite as good a sequeal as X-2 was.
-OD: *tentacles chatter sadly* Makes me fear for the fate of Spider-Man 3.-
Yeah, me too. At least we've got a year before we see that potential trainwreck. *come on, Spidey, I know you can pull this off. . . .*
-D: At least it got you writing on "BTTX-2" again.-
Yeah, I know. It also helped that bttfbabe got her critique back to me today -- thanks Tracey, I appreciate it. :)
-DW: What about the other story, the one-off? The plot bunnies for that seem to have disappeared.-
I'm pretty sure I know how to get them back -- I'll be writing more on it after I finish up this entry.
-TD: *gets the steam-powered poking stick* Don't forget to physically write something on "Boy Genius."-
*salutes* Yes sir.
-VD: You know, sometimes I wonder -- why isn't "Lightning" one of us?-
Really? I don't know. I guess OckDoc just appealed to me more.
-DW: *turning faintly green* I can vouch for that.-
*rubs back* My poor baby.
-VD2: He may not be a muse, but he's damn important. He and TrilogyDoc are the only other ones that have what you consider "main" universes.-
That's true. I guess Lightning/X-Doc and TrilogyDoc are sort of one step below you guys. *suddenly nervous* That's not an invitation to try and join!
-Lightning: *sticking head in doorway* Join this craziness? I have enough trouble being a mutant.-
-TrilogyDoc: *joining him* And I'd feel left out, being the only normal one. You're safe.-
Whew, good.
-VD2: *thoughtful* I hadn't thought about that. You ARE the only truly normal one among us, aren't you?-
-TrilogyDoc: Well, she is following canon with me. Probably why I don't have as many stories.-
*blush* Sorry. Though backtothefanfic inspires me to write for you a lot.-
-TrilogyDoc: I noticed. I hope you're going with Marty's graduation for the current challenge.-
Almost positive I am, yes.-
-Lightning: Oh, DocWolf -- is it true you caught a plotbunny that involved her crossing us over with OckDoc's universe?-
-DW: Yes -- hasn't shown up lately, though.-
I've got a good meeting scene for that, actually -- my problem is plot. Don't expect it anytime soon.
-Lightning: *nodnod* I understand. Well, we'll get out of here and leave you alone.-
-TD: Don't you want to stay and see the labs? I'm making ice cream for everyone.-
. . . . Oh Gods, PLEASE tell me you didn't pick up on my latest Sparky idea.
-TD: *frowns* What?-
What's the flavor?
-TD: *grin* I'm trying something new!-
-H: He's gone insane. It's POPCORN-flavored.-
*headdesk* I KNEW that thing would come back to bite me on the ass.
-TrilogyDoc: Well, it can't be any worse than the sawdust-flavored pancakes. I suppose we can stay for a few hours. I have no pressing concerns at the moment.-
-Lighting: Me either. Do you mind?-
Not at all. *sends them down to the lab* Just don't stay up all night!
And back to work for me. I just hope I don't have to get the fire extinguishers. . . .
-VDM: Already got 'em.-
