As you will see from my to-do list --

Work – Another quiet day at work, with me doing more roster maintenance stuff – only things of interest that happened was one of my coworkers going out to lunch with her husband and having to let maintenance know the soap dispenser was broken in the ladies’ room (I could still get soap out of it, but the actual bit you press was starting to fall off). *shrug* So yeah!

Oh, and no beanbags today, because it was buggy as fuck, and none of us are into getting chewed up by mosquitoes and gnats, especially with West Nile and EEE in play, bleh. We’ll see if things are better tomorrow!

To-Do List

1. Get in a workout: Check – back on the bike, back with James Turner and “I have 8 Sims in one house... Every Life Stage Challenge! - Part 7!” The chaos continued with the family as James tried to get all their tasks done for the great aging-up while also making their house nicer and tending to everyone’s needs –

A) Pablo designed his Trendi outfit – a look based on James’s beloved (and to the rest of us, beloathed) Batuu – and, after listing it at $1,000 but failing to generate any interest in it, managed to sell it to Nina Caliente for $500! Which is was still a tidy profit!

B) The family hit StrangerVille, where Semaj bought a bunch of Bizarre Fruits from Erwin at the curio stand and brought everyone home to eat them. As James expected, infant Scarlett and toddler Camilo couldn’t do anything with the fruits, while the kids Sonny and Vivienne could eat them, but were unaffected by the weirdness. Leaving Pablo, Krystoff, and Semaj to get infected! James was initially like “okay, this is a little annoying, but it serves as a kind of needs cheat since their needs get totally filled up when they’re Possessed” –

And then the trio started getting Possessed every night between 1 AM and 4 PM, and James slowly began to remember that you can only get uninfected if you go through the StrangerVille storyline. XD He’s been living with the effects for now (and managed NOT to get any of the children taken away while the two adults and one teenager are stumbling around all Mother-Plant-ified and unable to take care of them), but I wonder if James deciding he can’t deal with the constant possession is why the finale is over two hours… XD

C) Camilo got his final bit of potty skill to complete his task to age up, while Semaj ended up taking up the violin to complete his task to age Camilo up (“get to level 3 in a new skill,” as a reminder – he screeched his way to victory there :p)

D) Semaj spent probably more time than he should have trying to max out his relationship with his infant, as “getting max relationship with all children” was the task he had to complete before he aged up into an elder – as it turns out, it is VERY HARD to max your relationship with an infant, because when they dislike an interaction, they REALLY dislike it. Semaj managed it in the end, though! After a hell of a lot of failures, of course. XD

E) Semaj also went on his first solo acting gig as James didn’t want to leave the house before Pablo got his exam results from school (apparently the reason we never learned how Krystoff did was because the gang traveled before the notification popped up) – unfortunately, it appears that, without James there to guide him, he does pretty poorly on gigs, getting only $3,000 on what should have been a $6,000 gig. James was rather annoyed by that (even if he was deeply amused by the costume Semaj was wearing). On the plus side, we did learn that Pablo aced his exams, so that task could be ticked off PROPERLY this time around!

F) Pablo did get to know his new friend Jacob better (and even developed a bit of a crush on him, though James refused to do anything about it), and they did attend prom as buddies – Pablo did his best, but despite dancing, taking pictures, and showing off his outfit (and getting Jacob crowned Prom Royalty), he only got to Silver. It’s a good thing his task wasn’t to get gold on the event – that seems to be EXCEEDINGLY hard!

G) As for Krystoff and Raoul, they’re still doing well – James had Raoul stop by the house on Love Day, where Krystoff gave him a rose (which was not accepted well) and a proposal (which was). So maybe another thing that will be happening in the grand finale is Raoul and Krystoff getting married? We shall see!

H) And Semaj’s gig and Krystoff painting a few more masterpieces got the family enough money to expand the house a bit more and furnish it a little better – Scarlett now has a proper room decorated to her chosen tastes; there’s a proper dining area and sitting area in the old living room; the kitchen is now a bit bigger; and the former dining area is now Martini Light Storage. XD So that’s good!

So yeah – busy time for the family! Tomorrow we finish things off by spinning the wheels for Silas to see what he’s going to be like when he grows up, and possibly by having Krystoff and Raoul have a science baby together to kick off the grand FINAL AGING. Looking forward to it!

2. Continue editing “Londerland Bloodlines: Downtown Queensland” Chapter 3: Check – after ascertaining that the Empire Arms Hotel isn’t going to explode, literally or metaphorically, anytime soon, Alice made it back to Confession to tell Venus the deed is done! A delighted Venus told her to keep all of the cash Boris gave her to kill Venus instead, then offered her a celebratory drink before she went – which led to Alice finally having to confess something to the beat priestess. Namely, that she’s actually below the American drinking age. I have left it with Venus going “How old are you?” in a total panic because she’s now wondering if she sent a teenager to kill someone for her. XD We’ll work on the rest of THAT tomorrow!

3. Keep up with YouTube Subs: Check – another two for Tuesday –

A) First up, we had Josh Way and “FUN WITH SHORTS: What About Prejudice Part 2!” The second half of a short about judging people that he started ages ago. This half saw the prejudiced teens having to confront themselves and their own feelings when one of the reveals that the guy they were prejudiced against, Bruce (a black person among a bunch of white people, incidentally), was horrifically burned saving two of their classmates from a car wreck. Leading to (most of) the teens realizing “Oh damn, we’re kind of shit people, aren’t we?” and rushing off to see if they could donate blood or something to help the poor guy. Definitely an interesting period look at the question of prejudice – made a lot more amusing by Josh’s savage riffs regarding the kids’ “white guilt” and how prejudice, particularly racism, IS very much systemic, not an individual problem, movie. XD Good stuff, though I really wish he’d release the first and second halves of these shorts closer together! I don’t even really remember the first one at this point!

B) And second up, we had GrayStillPlays and “They made the economy 1000x more dangerous,” aka Gray plays more Happy Wheels! (With everyone in the comments complaining about how he has to blur out the worst of the gore because of YouTube.) Today’s choice boards included a bottle flip with the M&M Of Pain, a choice of colorful “StillPlays,” and a “Yeet Win” that was very hard to unlock without triggering the Necessary Gore Censorship (Gray would like to please ask everyone to stop including baby rains in their challenges going forward); Pogo Guy having to escape the jungle and all the people in it wielding gun-swords (plus two derpy snakes); a trip to Floridaman Coffee Co to see how it is made and make sure one angry Karen got her cup (Gray was like “oh come on” over the depiction of how the coffee was made – hint, it was unhygienic XD); a blue ball throw that Gray one-shot by complete accident (he thought for sure he was going to get death, but the gods were kind tonight); a motorcycle stunt board with Gray utterly failing the hoop of fire (his guy could not keep his arms on to save his life); an ultra-fast bottle run for Segway Nixon that kept seeing him explode at the end (Gray won during that brief moment when Nixon was still alive on the win); an “aeugh” board full of spikes, mines, harpoons, and crossbows to torment Bike Dad and Tom Hardy (and a win that was VERY hard for poor Gray to find – once again, he won while in pieces); a “Gray Shouldn’t Play” board with three exceedingly dangerous wins for him to get (he blew up a LOT, but he did indeed get them all); and a trip to the shopping mall to see such things as “Sub Yow” and “Best Bye” and “Arby’s” (which ended with Segway Nixon jumping out of the bit under construction and losing his legs in the parking lot). Good stuff, as always – though yeah, it is kind of annoying that he has to blur out a good portion of the blood and guts these days. Damn YouTube algorithm! *shakes fist*

4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: Double check for double the blogs –

Victor Luvs Alice – Got my four-part Chill Valicer Save update (covering Marm’s first day in the store with Victor, Alice, and Smiler) into the queue for Wednesday, followed by someone’s art of a cult leader NPC from their Blades In The Dark campaign for Thursday and a cool robo-deathclaw someone drew for Friday! :) Still need to decide on Song Saturday, though… I also reblogged a post about how frustrating it is that you can come up with a fic plot in seconds, but actually writing it is a whole other story, because mood (I swear, if I had infinite time, you’d get ALL the weird-ass Valicer fics that live rent-free in my head, I swear).

Valice Multiverse – Two things from Toonsisters for the queue tonight – first, one reblog of the “Victor as a Pokemon” ask from a little bit back, with her showing Cuddlepile!Victor her new designs (which she hand-drew herself!) – Victor was as impressed as I was with what she came up with (even if we both found the Vicalis design very very funny – it’s basically an upside-down teardrop shape with an eye, a little bit of hair, and a tie XD); and second, one ask detailing a scene where Alice hears boss battle music and hands Victor to Smiler before charging off – I had the Valicer In The Dark crew respond, with Victor briefly thinking Alice couldn’t lift him before Alice did just that and handed him to Smiler. XD Sweetie, you weigh NOTHING, you are the easiest person to lift in the world. :p So that’s a bit of fun for everyone to enjoy tomorrow. :)

Yeah, nothing particularly special going on today -- which, honestly, suits me fine. Means the day wasn't a total shitshow. :p And I did enjoy seeing those pictures of the Victor Pokemon from Toonsisters, and watching Gray play Happy Wheels, and all that. :) And now I will be off to bed to do it all again tomorrow. Night all!
