-->Got lunch at the Subway (Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki) and Ben & Jerry's (small chocolate-dipped cone of Half Baked). Though maybe I should have skipped the cone -- we nearly missed our bus back!

-VD2: They had Disney Alice In Wonderland stuff at a Hot Topic? I thought they were all about -- er, you know, vinyl and leather and bands like Linkin Park and Evanensence.-
They are, but there's other stuff scattered in -- Harry Potter, some Disney, Hello Kitty. . . . I was suprised to find Alice, but it was a sweet buy. The guy there even mentioned he was a huge Alice fan! :D
-DW: *sniffs the Discworld books* Do you forsee plotbunnies?-
Maybe. I hear they're funny, so I'll give 'em a whirl. Just need to clear out shelf space on my bookshelf. Getting rid of most of the Goodkind should give me enough, though.
-VD: How many of those did you actually read?-
Honestly? All the way through? The first two, and the fourth. After that, I started losing interest. I'll probably just keep "Wizard's First Rule" and "Stone of Tears."
All right, time to unpack some of this stuff. I'll probably have pictures soon, though I may wait until I get the Enchantment Marty and Lorraine and Part II 4-Pack from BTTF.com.

-OD: *pleased buzzing* Good. You have seemed to be in a Spidey Mood lately.-
Yeah, though it's more Venom than Ock at the moment. You know, I liked Spider-Man 3, but I know what people mean when they say they should have lowered the villain count. There were just too many bad guys to count, and it felt like subplots got lost. (The whole "doing it for sick Penny" thing in Sandman's backstory gets covered a lot better in the novel, for one thing.)
That being said -- I wish someone had told Raimi to cut SANDMAN.
Yes, I know, Raimi wanted Sandman first. But let's look at the Peter subplot -- it centers around the symbiote. And if you're going to do the Symbiote Costume storyline, VENOM'S the villain to concentrate on. Plus, I honestly don't like the way they intergrated Sandman into the story. The whole thing with Ben Parker just did NOT feel right to me.
-VD: Well, most trilogies tend to be weak in the third installment. Even with BTTF, plenty of people say Part III is their least favorite.-
Yeah, I know. Still -- well, the guys at How It Should Have Ended say it best.
-MF: But if you weren't so enthused with Spidey 3, why buy more minimates?-
I did enjoy it, and I like Venom. I had to have a minimate of him to round out my villains.
-D: You still don't have the original Goblin.-
Did they even make movie!Goblin? *must find that out*

Anyway, time to start poking around more with my new books and stuff. Also have auctions to watch -- I bid on some stuff with my new ebay identity. Not sure what'll happen if I win because of this stupid PayPal mess. . . . All this and the remaining BTTF minimates to get.

I have no freaking clue. Usually I'm a miser! I guess it's the influx of cool BTTF stuff. Fear for my pocketbook once the prop replicas start coming out, people.
