Because it's been pretty much dead all day. Where is everybody? It's Saturday, you think they'd have more time for Rifting.

Yeah, Rift!Doc ended up leaving him in the common room and letting everyone know about him via journal. The official Orientation Officer is looking for him, so yayz. :) I still have some ongoing ones, though:

To be fair, you guys getting into mortal danger on a regular basis is pretty much canon.

Anyway, was a pretty lazy day. Got up earlier than usual to hit Friendly's for lunch. I had a coupon for a free 2-Scoop "Happy Ending" Sundae with the purchase of an adult entree, so I figured I might as well use it. Got a chicken strips basket and a hot fudge sundae with a scoop each of Cookies 'N Creme and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. Num.
-DW: How much money do you spend at that store?-
A fair amount in the summer. Friendly's and Brickley's are my cool-off places. Remember, where I work is HOT.
-TD: I thought you had air conditioning now?-
Yeah, but the steam presses can still kick its ass. Not that I can complain about getting semi-regular milkshakes and stuff.
Anyway, spent most of the afternoon lazing around and expecting Rifting. Took a break at 4 for some Sims -- finally got a eurekasims update! Newspaper one for the Villagers. Of course, that doesn't document all that's going on in their lives, especially the Carters. Jack's made Lieutenant, Samantha's made Team Mascot and become an Overachiever, and Arthur's seeing romance on the horizon with two-bolt friend Ivy.

Isn't it? Next I have to play Alison and Cyd, who are sweet and adorable.
-VD: Not a lot of fanfic going on, though.-
Yeah, was lazy on that today. I'm making up for it now, working on "From the Ashes Reborn." Doc's going off to fight the Phoenix's opposite, the Negative. Creepy-ass thing that will destroy all you hold dear.
-OD: *Jules* This appears to be a theme in your stories about Father gaining powers. There will be a lesser threat that gives Father the powers, then a period of training, then a larger threat to Father he must fight.-
A bit, yeah. It seems to work. *shrug* Gonna have to fiddle with the chapters to this, though. They're fairly short for a while, then explode in length. Hmmm.

Aanyway, I've rediscovered the joys of the Agony Booth, so it's off to read crappy film recaps. And possibly fiddle with clockwork_doc's icons. Thinking he could use a better friendship one. Maybe the neat animated "Partners in Time" one from foxywriter?
