Thanks to everyone who wished me a happy birthday today. :D It's much appreciated.
Once again, I got a pretty good haul:
-->
Ficlet from Gigs :D
-->New rain poncho
-->A purple sweater
-->An Alice In Wonderland T-shirt
-->A "steampunk ribs" T-shirt (yay ThinkGeek!)
-->"The Truman Show" on DVD
-->A Castle Wulfenbach pin
-->A Universal Studios Marvel Island pin (featuring Spidey, Hulk, Wolverine, and Captain America)
-->"The Wit and Wisdom of Discworld" (a "best of" quotes book!)
-->And a set of mini Corpse Bride figures! Series 2 -- Wedding!Victoria, Elder Gutknecht (with books and raven), Paul the Head Waiter (with alcohol), Scraps and Wiener Dog, and the zombie Grandpa.
-TTV: *weirded out again*-
LoL. As you can guess, they're not as big as my four main figures. Methinks I'll have to dig up Series 1 of the littler figures for completeness's sake.
-DW: Is it just me, or do you have an obsession with collecting figure toys of your favorite series?-
Hey, I like stuff like that! Minimates, McFarlane poseables. . . . It's all good!
Today was a day for hanging out. Watched the Rift, made a post in Overflow with all three boys to see if anyone bit. . . None so far, but I DID get an amusing conversation between my Victor and the other one in
dear_mun.
-M: *chuckle* Yeah, seeing one Victor give the other a pep talk was -- kinda weird.-
I know. Poor Victor and his self-esteem problems.
-HD: *randomly hugs Tie-Twister Victor*-
-TTV: I wasn't -- I don't -- Thanks.-
-D: *chuckles* Don't try to deny it. We know what you're like, kid.-
-TTV: *rolls eyes*-
Big thing I did today was watch "The Truman Show" DVD with the extras. That was a good movie.
-VD2: And it really strikes a chord with you.-
I know. Pure paranoia fuel. People watching your every move, knowing all your secrets --
*pause* Yeah, it probably DOES strike a chord with you lot, doesn't it? *wince*
-VD: *patpat* It's okay. We take comfort in the fact we can still surprise you from time to time.-
-OD: And at least our writers were nice enough to not broadcast our lives 24/7. We at least have some privacy.-
This is true. Still, poor guys.
-TTV: At least Truman never had to see his own ANIMATION tests. *pulls at tie* I hate being a stop-motion puppet.-
*patpats* Don't look at my new "making-of" book then, that's even creepier.
Anyway! I'm off to wander the web. Look at Cake Wrecks in honor of it being a cake day. Mom baked up basically an ice cream log -- ice cream wrapped in sheet cake. DELICIOUS.
-TD: Mmmm.-
-RPD: We need to have desserts like that more often.-
Indeed.
