crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (Default)
Had a pretty good trip up at the mall. Though it was kind of a day of temperature extremes -- really really cold outside, pretty darn warm inside. I actually got myself a chocolate yogurt shake because of the latter. Mmm, yum. :)
Anyway, did the usual rounds, though I also stopped off at CVS to get a nine-volt battery for my Beating Heart pillow. The old one died a while ago, so I wanted a new one. We'll see how well it works. I also got:

A new WALL*E comic (he finds his cooler in this one), The Tales of Beedle The Bard,, and The Government Manual for New Wizards. Yes, I appear to be in a magic mood lately. Dunno why. I've read through a good portion of Beedle already -- it's pretty good.
-VD2: I refuse to believe you returned from any mall trip without minimates.-
LOL, you would be correct. Though I couldn't find any new Ghostbuster ones, I did pick up a couple of new Marvelmates:

Angel and Multiple Man! I've been meaning to get some more X-Men mates for a while now, and these looked like the coolest. Mostly because of Angel's wings.

Here's Angel out of the box -- He's in a bright blue and white uniform, with a halo symbol on his chest. He's got a special backpiece to which the wings are attached -- and they appear to be on a ball-and-socket joint, so they actually move around a little. :D Which is good, because otherwise he's hard to balance. Also, apparently this Angel is a variant -- the one who's supposed to come in the box is Old-School Angel, who has a really ugly yellow and black uniform. I'm perfectly happy with this one.

Here's his boxmate, Multiple Man. The guy was a villain in X-3, but apparently he's either reformed or was always a good guy in the comics. Generic guy in a trenchcoat, but hey, I needed another X-mate.

Multiple Man does come with a rather unique accessory, though -- a spare set of arms! If you take his trenchcoat off, you can pop off the brown arms and replace them with green so they'll look right.

Hey, wait a minute, why didn't they do that for 1955 Doc?! Unfair!
-TD: They must have decided the extra head was good enough.-
Still. . . .
Not much else to say -- spent most of the afternoon either helping to put away groceries or reading/watching Alice playthroughs. I've finished the screencap one -- an interesting one, to be sure. I've learned there's all sorts of secrets lurking about -- I may indeed do an Easy run just to explore. And in the "First Time player Nightmare runthrough," he's made it up to the Mad Hatter's domain. I'm gonna go watch his last posted video (for now) now -- poor guy is just barely hanging onto life battling the Tweedles. Let's see how he makes it through.
-OD: And then, if no stories are written, you could at least whip up a quick picture of some sort? Please?-
I'll do my best, good sir. I certainly have a surfeit of Victor/Alice inspiration.
