This Is The Big One!
Nov. 12th, 2011 10:04 pmThe day when all the biggest shit goes down! Let's make a list:
1. The day of the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance -- Lorraine and Marty have the most awkward of dates, Biff proves to be a real dickhead, and George proves his manliness. Later, Marty nearly fades out, George proves he must be the best kisser in the world, and rocking guitar solos are played.
And while all that's going on, another Marty is sneaking around, trying desperately to get a certain Almanac away from a certain Tannen. And he almost succeeds -- too bad about his inability to keep walking when he's called "chicken" and his past self knocking him loopy.
2. The day Old Biff went back to give his younger self that certain Almanac. And realized just what a pain in the ass his younger self was. (Hindsight's a bitch, isn't it dude?)
3. The day Marty and Doc went back to get that Almanac -- Marty demonstrates he doesn't quite get the word "inconspicuous," gets motor oil dumped on his stomach, gets locked in Biff's garage, gets stuck in Biff's car, has to sneak past his other self, gets his hand crushed by Strickland's chair, gets knocked loopy by HIMSELF, gets kicked in the stomach by Biff, nearly gets crushed on Biff's car, and very nearly gets run over by Biff. On the plus side, he DOES get that Almanac back. But still, not a good day.
4. The day Biff gets repeatedly humiliated -- it's not a good day for him either. Has to pay 300 bucks for his car getting de-manured, gets pwned by Lorraine with a dress box, has to deal with his older self's crazy driving, has to sacrifice his girly magazine to Strickland, gets punched by George McFly, gets his stuff stolen multiple times by "Calvin Klein," and drives into that manure truck again. So yeah.
5. The day of the famous Hill Valley lightning storm -- first go-round, Doc and Marty have to race against the clock to get Marty back to the future. And after Marty arriving late, an argument about the letter Marty tried to slip Doc warning him about his future, Doc nearly breaking his neck desperately trying to reconnect some loose wires, and Marty having to headbutt the DeLorean back to life -- they succeed! Yay!
Unfortunately, in the second go-round, that same lightning storm sends Doc 70 years back in time, to 1885. And so poor Doc55 finds his greatest triumph marred when Marty IMMEDIATELY SHOWS BACK UP. And faints. Poor dear.
Yeah, busy busy day.
-D: I'm quite glad not to have to relive it. How was watching the movie on the HD TV and the Blu-Ray player?-
Nice! I'm still amazed by how much detail you can see in the movie now. I could read the labels on Doc's appliances, and notice more details in fabric and metal, and all sorts of neat stuff. Preeetty. :) And that's on the DVDs. One of these days, I'll see what it looks like in Blu-Ray. (Probably not all that different, but still.)
Anyway, not much else to report -- watched Part I, worked on my art project, and did some tagging with
8butterflyboy8. A person who likes my V/A tumblr has a brand-new Alice and did some commenting with me! :D Has the best user name too --
wonderception. XD
-RPD: Wonderful!-
Indeedy. And now I'm watching a walkthrough of the last episode of BTTF: The Game. Yeah, I know, probably should have just played the darn thing myself, but I was busy tagging and keeping an eye on my tumblr. I will play at least one episode before BTTF days end for good, I swear!
-VD2: *pats* Hey, even if you don't, it's okay. We all know you're a bit more into the Victorian age these days.-
I know, but I'm always gonna be a Backie. Want to keep acknowledging the most important day in BTTF history. :P
Anyway, got more tags to do, more things to watch, all that good stuff. So Happy Ultimate BTTF Day, everyone! :D
