Sims And Fic Updates
Apr. 15th, 2012 10:02 pmFirst off, Chapter 15 of "Secundus" is up! This is otherwise known as "the chapter where everything goes to hell."
-VDM: And does it ever. . .-
-TD: How far ahead are you from that point?-
I may actually be in Chapter 19 -- I thought I was in Chapter 18, but I may have found a chapter break. This story's looking like it's going to be around maybe 25 chapters. Probably a little less. I'm just glad I've been able to make such good progress on it for so long. Hooray for productivity!
-D: Tell me about it. And after this, you're free to finish "The Tale!" Unless you're saving that up for this year's NaNo.
Undecided on that -- I'd at least want to finish up the "ball" chapter beforehand, so you can expect some progress on that, at least. I might decide instead to get the ball properly rolling on the last part of the "OckDocumentary." And of course I still want to start on Forgotten Vow's stories.
-TTV: I'm frankly shocked you haven't started already.-
I'm being good and waiting until I've gotten some of this backlog cleared.
As for the Sims part of the update -- there's new entries at the bottom of Victor's and Alice's journal. Today was the day of fire -- Victor started off his day with a stove fire, while Alice's lot had THREE. On the plus side, though, Alice finally got herself a job in the Entertainment career track, so she's moving closer to her release!
-D: How about Victor?-
He's earning up some skills -- and he got 200 extra simoleons in his paycheck thanks to a chance card. :D I did have to bend the rules ever so slightly, though, and buy them something. Turns out I'd forgotten to get them a mirror so Victor could learn Charisma. ^^;
-VD: *laugh* I think that's an acceptable break from the rules. What I'm really impressed by is your refusal to use the Lifetime Benefit 'Eureka!'-
Hey, this is an asylum challenge. Getting your LTW should be tough.
-VD2: Does saying that stave off the frustration.-
. . .Not really. So tempted to go for it. . .maybe I could put in an "unlock" condition? Like, when he hits the level in his career that would get him his career reward? He can't use the reward, but he can spend the points on Eureka?
-RPD: *shrug* Your twist on the challenge.-
I'll consider it. In the meantime, the fall skill bonus is still in effect.
