crossover_chick: gif of Doc gasping (BTTF: EEK)
AKA today we have a scene that gives me even MORE feels because I RP a sentient version of the DeLorean that turns into a little girl who, thanks to the magic of rifts, just barely got saved from the train. Meeep. But at least, after a few brushes with darkness (the last bit of 1985-A, the DeLorean getting destroyed), the trilogy ends on a happy note: 1985 is back to normal (or, well, it's back to the improved normal), Marty avoids the drag race that ruined his life (though the sadistic part of me wants to see a fic where he crashes into someone while reversing, because THAT WAS JUST AS STUPID MARTY), and Doc's return in the most awesome train ever and this quote:

Jennifer: Dr. Brown? I brought this note back from the future, and now it's erased!
Doc: *all smiles* Of course it's erased!
Jennifer: *confused* But what does it mean?
Doc: It means your future hasn't been written yet! No one's has! Your future is whatever you make it. So make it a good one -- both of you!
Marty: *grins, hugs Jennifer* We will, Doc!

:D Isn't that sweet.
Allow me to ruin the moment now with a few comments on Alice's Dollhouse adventures!

-->One of the decorations is a candleholder that is a dollwoman's leg complete with garter. Dear God this section is messed up.
-->I still love that Mrs. Liddell memory where she more or less gives you the origin of the Vorpal Blade. It's fun to hear about little Alice being just as badass as her bigger self. :)
-->You know what I hate most about the scenery in the Dollhouse? The giant doll heads. Not only are they creepy on their own, they're also THE HEADS OF THE DOLLGIRL ENEMIES. Thanks, McGee, that's JUST what I want staring at me while I'm trying to collect stuff.
-->Breakables need to drop more health. My roses keep getting nipped off during fights.
-->Reached the Dollhouse cellars, still find it amusing when the traps kill the Ruins. :P
-->Something I didn't mention before -- at the very beginning of the level, you can see this huge rickety tower-house towering in the background of the level. You can see that same house in the artbook -- it's the Dollmaker's headquarters! . . .So weirdly enough at least some of the cellars may be aboveground. Hmmm.
-->And one more thing -- both Queensland and The Dollhouse have 17 memories each. I've finally figured out why these sound like such low numbers -- it's because Hatter's Domain, the first chapter, has 26. I dunno why they did it like that -- maybe because some of the memories are just interesting fluff, and they wanted to save all the most plot-important ones for the end of the game? (Reason why I'm gathering all the memories despite this not being a 100% completion run -- the memories really are important to the plot.)

Today was fairly quiet other than me watching my last bits of BTTF for the month and playing Alice. Mom and I got my makeup to go with my Halloween costume, and we're making plans on how to do the Sister's needle. I also finished Helloween's LP of Hamnesia -- I agree with him that while the story is good, it's told a little too much through found documents, and the game itself could probably use a little more "oomph." I don't think it helps that I could guess immediately what one of the "twists" is. And the ending doesn't exactly make everything clear -- it's through the comments and TV Tropes that I got the full story. Meh. Still, it was fun listening to Hell's, so yay for that.

As it is, I am woefully behind on tumblr again, so later!

Actually, one last note -- last night of Halloween Wars, and one team DEFINITELY brought the scary. Or at least the icky. Wow.
