Interview Get!

So after a rather stressful morning figuring out what I should wear, I made it through my mock interviews -- and they actually went rather well! The first one was at CCRI, and the lady who interviewed me said that I did an excellent job -- I just had to watch talking too fast and using my hands too much when I talked. The second one was at Addventure, an ad agency in Providence, and that went quite well. The lady there seemed really interested in my creative writing hobby, and says that she wants to keep in contact to see if she can pass on some opportunities. Networking ahoy! I even got a tour of the place -- it's very colorful. :) I also cleared up the last of the roadblocks with my health insurance, so yeah, productive day.

Also productive: the first chapter of this long-delayed beast going up. Yeah, I'm finally putting up "There's Always Tomorrow." This is going up along the lines of "Boy Genius," though you can expect some bigger gaps in between updates as I am doing more of an editing pass on this one. Also, updates will be sporadic as I finish off "Forgetting You" -- once that's done, I'll concentrate on just getting TAT up and out of the way so I can finally have that off my plate. (Yes, Gigs, I saw your comment, I'll get to fixing that in a little bit.)

Productive in a different way: My DragonVale weyr now has three islands! I've been spending the afternoon clearing stuff off it -- the overnight will be used to get rid of rocks, and then I can plan on how I'm going to set it up. I've hatched my latest Tree -- his name is Ent, because seriously, they're basically the dragon version of same -- and I've bred Biff (my first Tree) and Everest (my Mountain), who have given me a Moss. I've just paired Tidepool and Geo, and it seems they're giving me a River. :) I'm also swimming in money, and I have a nice treat pile going -- hooray, things are happening, I'm feeling good. :)

Things I'm feeling less good about -- my mouse is acting up. Everything works fine except the left mouse button, which only works if I have the mouse in a specific position next to the computer. I've been worried all afternoon that my computer was acting up. >.< Damn mouse, don't scare me like that. I've been making do with the touchpad's left button, but I might just have to get a new mouse if this one's going to continue to be a pain. *gumble*

Right now, though, I have Critic and DragonVale videos to watch -- later!
