crossover_chick: Victor on the ground with one hand up with the text "Nooo! Anything but the fangirls!" (CB: save Victor from the fangirls!)
Made the mistake of looking up something on TV Tropes early (though AFTER I'd gotten my queues up for the morning) and that kind of set the tone for the rest of the day. I kept bouncing back and forth between my regular sites, TV Tropes, and doing stuff downstairs (Mom and Dad came home early from the beach because it was too windy -- mini golf was suggested as a family activity, but there's no decent places anywhere near us anymore. :( ). Also doing stuff on my iPad -- let me give you the skinny:

-->Two great games in Hearthstone -- one win with Thrall, one loss with Jaina. Thrall's game was a nice case of the planets aligning, and what I thought would be a bad hand turning out to be a great one. The mage I was playing against got in a few early, good hits, but I countered with some nice charge minions, a lot of windfury, and the lucky break of getting the "heal everything for one point at the end of your turn" totem plus the "increase your totem's health" card so it couldn't be easily killed. :D I actually had two minions who, thanks to windfury and bloodlust (which increases attack by three on that turn), were able to hit the opposition for 28 points of damage! And you start with 30, so this is not pocket change. Felt goood. Jaina's game was a more even trading, and while I had a great moment where I ended up with a free extra-hard taunt minion thanks to a card that lets you copy the next one your opponent places on the board, my opponent (Malfurion) managed to get the better of me in the end. But it was a good, even game, so I'm not fussed.

-->DragonVale's very quiet. No Leaf as of yet, and unless my breeding pairs stop making Seaweeds, Swamps, and Nectars, none on the horizon either. Making decent dosh, though I still want to get everybody in the ideal habitat. Also, for Gigs: Tempest won a Silver, and I've got Quake in Lightning (since I'm not trying for the Amber just yet).

--> I did indeed download Spellfall, Backflip's new game, and -- it's fun! It's a weird combination of an RPG with a Bejeweled-style match-three-or-more game. The story behind it is that every so often, an age of darkness comes over the land where the sun is basically shut out and monsters start roaming around. However, this darkness also awakens the magic of a special kind of wizard -- the Duskwalkers, born in twilight, who can use elemental magic to defeat the monsters and restore peace to the land. You play as a recently awoken Duskwalker from a small village who must fulfill his destiny in the Nightsbane Brotherhood. I love the story, and the gameplay is fun. I'm a little sad that you don't get to pick if your character is a boy or a girl, but they have awesome steampunk armor, so I'm not going to be too fussed about it. XD

However, even with all that, I wasn't a complete failure at productivity:

-->Worked some more on "Remembering You" -- not much, but it's a start. Still trying to find June's voice, I think.

-->I posted that chapter I promised I would! Chapter 3 of In The Land of the Dead. Though I've already had to fix a typo. *shakehead* At least it was only the one. . .

-->Like I said, I managed to get my queues done before I got lost in TV Tropes, and I think I'm doing an admirable job keeping up with replies now.

-->And the vacuuming WHILE I was lost in TV Tropes, which is no mean feat.

So yeah, bit of a slapdash day, but can't really complain. Now I gotta get back and make sure no one's written another novel of a reply in my absence.
