Happy Hill Valley Town Festival Day!
Sep. 5th, 2014 10:04 pmDance, Food, Games! All proceeds go to help build the clock tower! :D Now, if I'd been the organizers, I would have found a way to stop Buford Tannen from coming in, but I guess it's kind of hard to stop one of the quickest triggers around from not going someplace he wants to go.
On the other hand -- shouldn't Marshall Strickland have arrested him the moment he saw Buford had an illegal gun? You were supposed to check all your firearms when entering the party, after all. Now there's an interesting idea for an AU -- Buford gets arrested at the party. How does that affect what comes afterward (namely, Marty learning his lesson about the chicken thing and Doc's decision to be with Clara)? Curiouser and curiouser. . .
Not much to report on today -- Mom stayed home and did some major cleaning, so when I wasn't offering help I stayed up in my room and out of the way. Have to do my share of the vacuuming sometime tomorrow, it seems. Ah well, no big. Did the usual job search, some editing on Chapter 7, and put up Chapter 5 of "In The Land of the Dead" -- read it on FF.net or on AO3. Also watched some LP of the Sims 4 by The Sims Supply -- it looks -- well, Simmish. I really do think the new build mode looks awesome, and multitasking looks hella useful. But I think I'm agreeing with those who say that this incredibly bare bones core game isn't quite worth the price. Not that I could afford it right now anyway, but waiting for a "starter kit" sale (like how they had with Sims 2 and 3, offering the base game plus some popular EPs) or the like seems like a better plan. Besides, gives me time to get a better computer. My laptop is showing its age.
Games Update:
-->DragonVale: My Sapphire has hatched, with the very appropriate name Glitter. :) No luck with Amber or Orchid yet, though. Nothing more really to comment on -- though the third anniversary of the game is next week. We'll see if anything interesting happens then.
-->Hearthstone: One loss and one with with Rexxar -- both in mirror matches, interestingly enough. I got really lucky with good taunts and buffs in the "win" match. Honestly, I think Rexxar's deck is my best deck -- I seem to win most often with him. Yay Hunters.
-->Spellfall: After many painful fights, I FINALLY managed to reclear the Temple of Water and beat King Sodron. Arrgh, the pain. . . I also cleared the Ironworks -- the boss fight there was way easier, against Nikal Kosperov, who was kind of responsible for all the mechs wandering around and making life difficult. She is a female scientist, aka mechromancer, and I think I love her even though all she is is a boss fight. XD I have a soft spot for girl mad scientists, what can I say! I'm currently breezing through the Temple of Fire -- all my going back and reclearing areas has made me VASTLY overleveled for the enemies. If I use the Haste powerup, I can often kill them before they even get a chance to attack. After the pain in the ass that was the rematch against Sodron, I am loving this. We'll see how long it lasts, though.
And now, I have a fair number of RP replies owed, so let me get on that. Later!
