Lazy Thanksworthy Eve
Nov. 26th, 2014 11:46 pmYes, it's Thanksworthy now -- DragonVale is doing what it calls Thanksworthy deals (today it's a deal on treats), and I've decided I like the name. Just as legit as Thanksgiving, in my opinion. And more fun -- DragonVale's not only got the treat sale, but also a new kind of farm and new treats! Very, very EXPENSIVE treats -- they're all in the multi-million DC range. New design is cool, though. And yes, there's a new dragon -- the Lodestone. I'm trying for it now. My Ouroboros is safely in the nursery, and -- hoorah -- I've also got a Dream coming my way! That'll max out that category, at least for now.
As you might have guessed, I've spent a good portion of my afternoon playing games rather than being productive. I blame this on it feeling like a Friday -- a Friday where I got to get out early, no less. Work closed at 2, so I was able to hop on an earlier bus home. Well, I say "hop" -- it was honestly more like "slog through growing slush hoping I got to the right stop on time." Ya see, the 66 doesn't do the same loop the 65 does before leaving, so I couldn't wait at my regular bus stop -- I had to get to the designated stop instead. And the weather was decidedly Not Pleasant today. Winter storm and all -- no real snow, but plenty of slush and rain and cold. Not fun to walk through, even for about fifteen minutes or so. Fortunately the bus was right on time and I could spend the ride playing on my iPad, reading Discworld, and just generally warming up. And I still got home two hours early, which was nice. :) Good to have a little breathing space, and time to recharge the batteries. Declared hiatus evening on tumblr, but I'm keeping up with Dreamwidth replies (such as there are). Just gonna go ahead and take it easy for a little bit. I got a four-day weekend to play the catch-up game proper, after all. :P
So yeah, happy Thanksworthy, everyone! I hope you all have a nice day tomorrow! We -- will not be doing anything special because Mom has to work. Friday she has off, though, so we're going to be trying Thai food then. Yum yum.
