Usual Sunday Shenanigans
Apr. 10th, 2016 11:21 pmThough I got my tumblr queues done a bit earlier than usual, which allowed me to get all my DW stuff done instead of having to skip one of the longer things as I usually must do for sleep purposes. So that was nice. Helps that activity was a bit quieter than it usually is on a Sunday evening for me. Hooray for that.
Writing today was mainly editing a bit I'd written already a while back for "Remembering You" -- Victor and Alice's first kiss. Considering the amount of work I did yesterday, I'd say I was allowed a low-key day today on that front. I also got more Winter Bingo prompts up on my website, so that's nice.
DragonVale front -- I went ahead and bought a bunch of nice decorations from the Eggschange, and then got the Swallowtail, since I haven't seen that one pop up in the breeding cave yet. As long as people keep putting out their Duskwings and Lacewings, I have a small chance of breeding those. And at least now I've got three out of the five. Though it looks like they're already planning ANOTHER event. . .can we have a bit more of a break, DragonVale? Please?
Gaming front -- looked up the bit I was stuck on in Portal and discovered it was basically right before the final boss fight, so I skipped Sims 4 in favor of finishing the game. And GLaDOS is -- a lot harder than I originally anticipated! Largely because it took me a while to figure out just how you're supposed to actually HIT her with the rockets (for some reason it didn't click that I should be lining up my shots via LOOKING THROUGH THE PORTALS), and since the last fight is on a timer. . . I got killed quite a lot before finally incinerating all the cores and beating the darn thing. Of course, now there are challenge maps to attempt, and director's commentary to listen to. . .but that can be for later. Right now, I shall just bask in my victory over Science.
And then go to bed, because it's getting late. Night all!
