crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (Default)
Not a particularly bad Monday, as Mondays go, I must say. Got plenty done (even if part of it was hole-punching a bunch of stuff for a coworker) and got in a nice walk before the day turned cloudy and kinda-threatening-thunderstorms. Poor Mom and Dad are getting rained on in the Berkshires. . .fun, eh? Nothing down here yet, but I'm keeping a wary eye out.

First night home alone is going well. Had sausage and peppers, carrots, and chips for dinner, with Linkara's last video on "Graduation Day." More dramu, more death, more Linkara rage over the stupidity of it all. Good stuff XD But I agree with all his points, particularly about the way the second death so overshadows the first it makes it obvious the first was just planned as a dumb "shock moment" and never needed to happen at all. I mean, seriously. And the books the whole thing led to. . .urgh, save us from 90s "edginess." But at least Linkara ranting about it remains amusing. And next week is 15 things wrong with Civil War (the comics arc, not the movie), so that should be interesting.

Not much else to report on, beyond starting on Chapter 5 of "In The Land of the Dead." Much like previous "edited" chapters, the framework is the same, but I'm changing pretty much everything within it. Example: Lizzie's reading Pride and Prejudice to open the chapter up this time. I got to thinking, I don't know anything about Vanity Fair, the book I chose before -- and when I looked up some good quotes from P&P, it occurred to me that, what with her past and sharing a name with the main character, Lizzie might have an interesting reaction to Darcy's declaration of love. And things just flowed from there :D We'll see just how much her first meeting with Bonejangles changes -- though, honestly, I'm not thinking that much. Just a few of the beats will be different.

Okay, I've done my queuing, I've done my writing -- time for bed. Night all, sleep tight!
