Afternoon bus was late -- though it was actually in the bounds of acceptable lateness, coming at 4:16. So everything might have been okay IF THE FUCKING DRIVER HADN'T FORGOTTEN TO STOP AT THE LAST STOP IN PROVIDENCE. He went around the entire rest of the loop fine, but when it comes to the actual Kennedy Plaza stop (well, okay, Exchange Street stop, but it's got the official sign and shelter), he went right past! We had to circle around and go back! Which of course made us all later --
and did I mention the bus didn't have any air conditioning? On a day when the heat index in the early afternoon was over 100F??
As you might imagine I was pretty miserable by the time I made it home. Fortunately meatball & sausage sandwiches and a decent episode of Whose Line fixed that up -- as did getting in the air conditioning. Tomorrow's supposed to be more of the same, along with possible rain, but I only need deal with RIpta in the morning, and only deal with work for half a day. We've been moving a lot of money around between campaigns, and it's making balancing the GL a pain. Hopefully we can get it all sorted tomorrow! And then it's clothes-shopping time -- admittedly, I need a few new tops and bras and suchlike. Maybe I can convince them to stop for a shake or something. . . I've been craving deserts with whipped cream lately. Dunno why. *shrug*
Well, anyway, I gotta hit the sheets -- trying to get to bed at a decent hour here. Night all!
