Extra Late Saturday
Oct. 15th, 2016 11:34 pmToday I did something that I haven't done in ages without being sick -- sleep past noon. It was 12:27 PM by the time I woke up and got out of bed. I wasn't particularly happy with myself at first, but honestly, I still got just about everything I wanted to get done done:
-->Watched the second part of the "Nightmare on Elm Street: Paranoid" miniseries by Linkara -- art continues to be over-detailed, story continues to be rather nonsensical and not properly aligned with the movie canon, and Linkara continues to be amusing in complaining about it all. The storyline is ramping up in freaky, though. O.o At least there was an amusing moment with Viga (Linkara's real-life fiancee) noping out of there the moment she heard supernatural crap was going on. Smart lady -- Linkara's October storylines, while they end well, don't do much for your sanity.
-->Also watched Helloween play through an indie "horror" "game" his friend Carl bought on Steam then gave to him -- and trust me, those quotes are MOOOORE than warranted. "Near Midnight" is basically three rooms with badly broken controls, only a vague semblance of a plot, fake "scares," and no ending. Helloween did not hold back on the bitching. The things people charge 79p for these days. . .
-->Had my driving lesson -- getting better at parking straight and trying to get used to using my mirrors more. I will conquer the demons of "reverse" eventually!
-->Did some writing on "Remembering You" -- again, mostly tweaking some dialogue and removing some passive stuff in favor of more active stuff. Also tried to up the creep factor on Victor's "Thirteen" moment, where Alice accidentally gives him a command and he just automatically slips back into "blank obedience" mode. Coming up on June's intro -- looking forward to fleshing her out more, especially since I took a nice dive into Bonejangles's backstory recently.
-->Played some Vampire: The Masquerade -- Bloodlines -- decided to see Lacroix and do the Elizabeth Dane mission before visiting Pisha. Got through that okay -- did it the easy way with the corrupt cop handing me the police report and making it easier for me to sneak to security. Though I got a bit lost on the ship (what's new) and had to consult a walkthrough to figure out where the ship's manifest was. And then I nearly walked out into a firefight when I didn't even have to -- thank God for quicksaves! In the end, Harry got off the boat in one piece, made up with Vandal for the loss of Lily (yay extra experience), and accepted Heather as his ghoul once he got back downtown. I've got him parked in front of the hospital so he can get to know Pisha next time, before continuing on with the main storyline.
-->Watched Zero Punctuation -- Yahtzee played two simple indie games he found more "eh" than anything else, though he liked the first, Clustertruck, more than the second, Litchspeer. Amusing as always, in his rapid-fire kinda-crude way.
And now I'm doing the RP thing, as you do. So yeah, I guess it was pretty good day all told. Still, I'm going to try to get to bed a tad earlier so I can get up at a decent hour tomorrow -- after all, Sundays I have to go to bed earlier too, soooo. . . And I've still got plenty of Helloween to watch too. Night all!
