Parking It Friday

Slowly getting better at that in my driving lessons, though my last couple of times I went in crooked. Getting the timing right and learning when I should turn the wheel gently and when I should turn it hard is tricky. But hey, I'm getting my turns down, and getting more comfortable with some speed, and learning my stopping distance. Things are coming together, slowly but surely.

Work today was dominated by sending an e-mail for a new event out, then getting the participant list for that event put together. Also finally sent out a thing of CAP data, yay. Not else much to say there -- it's kinda a slow period for my department. There's always something to do, but it won't really pick up again until we get closer to Christmas. Probably should just enjoy the slow while I can, because it won't take long until I'm completely frazzled by busy again. . .

Not much else to say. Having a small problem with my Mail app not working right (something in Windows isn't communicating properly with something else) -- I've found fixes, though, and I've made backups of all my most important stuff so I don't have to get too panicky about losing things. I fit in a bit of writing time on "Remembering You" -- more first-chapter clean-up tweaking, nothing too major. Just tackling any sentences that feel kinda awkward. Whitbee's Candy Bash is going well -- we have the inaugural Double Candy weekend going on, so that's nice. And I've been taking a bit of time to listen to some music and read some fanfic before diving into a chat with someone. Good times, really.

Right now, though, I have some stuff to queue, and then that chat, so I'd best be off. Night all!
