crossover_chick: Doc in goggles and holding a big old plug with the words "feeling sparky..." (BTTF: feeling sparky/creative)
Round up of things that happened yesterday and today:

-->Wrote a couple of Christmas fics, drafted out ideas for a few more. I have at least a basic outline for almost everybody, and I'll probably be spending a good chunk of the upcoming week writing them out.

-->Went out with Dad for a drive down to the old parking lot, where we practiced regular parking, parallel parking, and backing up. I'm doing all right with regular parking -- not perfect, but I can generally get myself into the space -- and parallel parking isn't too hard yet. Backing up I'm still working on -- reverse makes me nervous. Though I think I've finally got my rearview mirrors in the right spots for lining myself up to back into a space. We'll gonna keep at it.

-->Working on the process for a home loan so we can move already -- submitted my application yesterday, heard back today, and now it's a matter of meeting with the bank lady to discuss possible loan amounts. Nerve-wracking, but in a good way, I suppose.

-->Played Vampire: The Masquerade -- Bloodlines -- Harry the Gangrel finally got rid of Chastity the hunter via judicious application of fire axe and fangs (aka I hit her until I got low health, then drained her dry). No innocents killed, coworker safely oblivious in the pleasure palace, XP picked up from VV. Also the second of her quests, involving David Hatter and his Kindred screenplay. Since I already had business at the hotel he works at, I went over right away and charmed his screenplay and his collaborator's name out of him. Then it was over to the murder room to finish up the "Mudd Hunt" quest, then over to some bonus rooms for goodies -- and then back to Santa Monica, as that was the best way to finish up these quests! Convinced Julius to skip town for his crimes (Harry's a very high-Humanity vampire and I like him that way), took a little tour of the pier area, then legged it over to my Santa Monica haven to pick up my reward for the completed Flayton quest. Next up is confronting the Gangrel serial killer at the salvage yard -- I think my persuasion's high enough to get him to back down peacefully. If not, well, I have a sledgehammer. It's nice, getting shit done in this game. :)

-->Watched Linkara's first holiday ep, taking on the 2015 MLP:FiM Holiday Special. Not much special about it, though it was amusing to see Rarity refuse to continue on starring in the pony version of "The Nutcracker" the moment she learned it involved giant rodents. And seeing Linkara in all his Christmas glory is fun too. :) As well as being pelted by soft ponies. XD

-->You all know about my adventures in trying to update my damn fic last night ^^;

-->Woke up this morning and checked mobile tumblr to discover friend reblogging Vine after Vine after Vine, and tonight reblogging "voicing something silly" post after "voicing something silly" post. Have officially given up on trying to keep up with personal tumblr today. Anybody has something they want me to see, they'll have to poke me directly.

-->Hey hey hey, guess what? THE BUS DRIVER THIS MORNING MISSED THE TRAIN STATION STOP AGAIN! Aaaaand he almost didn't stop at the first park & ride -- just the shelter on the far corner. He's supposed to go INTO the damn thing. I was pissed and told Mom to e-mail them again since I couldn't at the time. Having this happen THREE TIMES in about a week is just -- uuuurgh. Mom seems to think she's gotten the people at RIpta sufficiently annoyed to do something about it, but I have my doubts.

-->Work was a pile of hand-crampy boring. Copy-pasting sounds like an easy job until you have to do it well over a hundred times. And I STILL have to finish it up on Monday. When I might be alone in the office, thanks to my supervisor being on vacation, two coworkers being injured, and the third a part-timer who doesn't work on Mondays. While having the office to myself isn't that scary, it would be nice to have an extra set of hands to look after the phones.

-->Of course, me going in is dependent on there not being a major snow event -- and we're expected to get some of the white stuff this weekend. Don't know how much, but it's sure to make the commute a drag. I find myself hoping that it either a) turns and doesn't hit us at all or b) hits us so hard they have to cancel work. Either don't mess up my commute or make it so I don't have to have a commute at all!

-->Started Chapter 8 of "Remembering You," since the first section's a fight between Alice and Dr. Wilson and it fit my kinda-low mood of the day. I also FINALLY ironed out just what I want to happen in the chapter! Threw out something that I decided was too dark, but kept just a hint of it to get Alice to have a particular nightmare I'm still proud of. . .and came up with what I hope is a really sweet ending. Now I just have to wrassle it into shape for the 23rd (no way it's gonna be ready by the 16th).

-->I also got up another somewhat-edited version of one of my Week of Secundus Christmas stories -- Day Five, "Snow". Figured I'd have this one ready early for Sunday. . .

-->. . .which translated into me going on a queuing spree and now being set up until mid-Wednesday next week. *blinks* Where the hell was that productivity YESTERDAY brain??

-->Currently finishing up the queue for Butterfly Boy -- I am rewarding myself with Cinema Sins for getting all this shit done. Also have a PM to answer, but I think that can wait just a little bit.

*whew* All right, that's another thing off the checklist. . .we'll see how long I can keep it up into Saturday. Night all!
