Aug. 25th, 2018 11:27 pmMostly because I woke up early this morning with what was definitely period cramps -- fortunately I hadn't actually started bleeding yet, so I didn't ruin my clothes or the sheets, but it still wasn't pleasant. And that's been screwing with my mood all day, making little irritants (such as our internet cutting out for brief periods TWICE today, having to vacuuming the living room and fold the laundry, or a late lunch coupled with my cleaning, working on "The Technicolor Phase," and getting in a walk meaning I never found the time for video games today) feel a lot bigger. Basically my brain's been stuck in "bitch mode" for this entire Saturday, and I have not been enjoying myself. Although, weirdly, I AM happy I'm getting my period now -- given my low motivation to do most things and general exhaustion when it first hits, I was anticipating potential disaster if I had to deal with it while at work during the database changeover. At least today I'm allowed to sit at home on my ass and not inflict my mood on anyone.
Did manage a few things today:
-->As mentioned, I actually DID find the motivation and brainpower to work on "The Technicolor Phase" - more of that rewrite of Victoria's wedding breakfast and the dead invasion (which has been severely pared down -- they're coming up for entirely different reasons this time, after all). The short's not QUITE done, but I'm glad to have completed what I did.
-->Got up the next Scene From Secundus: Defrosting, about how Alice can seem like an ice princess to outsiders -- but as Victor discovers, once you get to know her. . . This is another severely edited one, as I wasn't particularly happy with the original once I copy-pasted. Also feels a bit weird, as I'm not sure Alice comes off as all that ice-princessy in the original "Secundus." Perhaps in "Finding You" maybe. . . Eh.
-->Got my VictorLuvsAlice queue done for the next few days, as well as my ValiceMultiverse one -- yeah, I knew I wasn't going to be up to active RPing, and fortunately for me it was super quiet over there anyway, so I'm not missing much.
-->Watched one Sim Supply video -- an episode of his "Rags to Riches Seasons" LP that was basically about selling a few crafted items (Seb's flowers and Luna's woodworking) to afford some of the new items in the free patch update (you know, the one that fixed the screenshots) so he could show them off. He also fixed a roof issue on Seb's store lot, and gave one of the kids, Richie, a makeover with one of the new hairs and a hat. So that was fun, at least.
And now -- well, I have some things sitting in my inbox, so I'd better get those done. Then I'll find some way to while away the hours until bedtime. Probably not going to be long, honestly -- I'm not feeling TOO wiped right now, but considering how exhausted I was last night. . .at least by tomorrow evening I should be feeling more myself again. Which is good, both for work purposes and because I need to make muffins tomorrow. *nods* Night all.
