Pretty Okay Thursday
Nov. 8th, 2018 11:23 pmThe morning was quiet at least, at work -- then the afternoon ramped up again with stuff I had to find and take care of. *sigh* Or, rather, something I couldn't find and may not have been sent to us at all. . .I'm getting a bit tired of that, honestly. It seems a lot of the time, one other person not doing their job correctly makes me look bad. Same with my coworkers, really. . .we all have our crosses to bear. At least there's only one more day this week, then another long weekend! Yay.
Afternoon was nice -- got in a workout, had supper, then got another chunk done on Chapter 9 of "Fixing You!" Into the "visiting the old Liddell estate" bit of the story -- the characters are wandering around a park and reminiscing. Not much more to this part of the chapter, admittedly -- I just wanted to show off my idea for what happened to what used to Alice's family home, and have Alice, Victor, and Fixxler chat a bit. Shouldn't take me long to finish up -- then it's onto the reunion with June, and then I am done! The ideal situation would be having this chapter ready for next Friday; more realistically I'll probably be ready to put it up the weekend of Thanksgiving. We'll see what happens with the editing, I suppose. Keep your fingers crossed!
Video-wise, I got another episode of "Super Sim" (Max moved Nathalie back into his house for the purposes of taking care of his dog, maxed out his Veterinary skill via a marathon session at his vet clinic (stopping MID-EXAM once he hit level 10), and is currently back in Selvadorada to complete the Jungle Explorer aspiration and max out his Selvadoradan Culture skill. James has also decided that, once he reaches 100 episodes (he's on 98 currently), he'll give Max a makeover and a new house to live in and start "Season 2," to cover whatever comes in future expansions) and Helloween's Vampyr set (Dr. Bitey took care of the major source of contagion in the West End -- which was a rather Lovecraftian Skal with a tentacle arm -- and then did doctor's rounds and stopped by to see his friend Dr. Swansea in between killing loads of people on the street. I am quite intrigued to see where all this will be going in the future!). I also picked up a few new things for the Watch Later queue, and I have another Call of Cthulhu set for tomorrow! Hells has just been PUMPING out the content lately. . .must be the excitement of a new Lovecraftian game done blind. :) I'm not complaining, really -- both that and Vampyr are good stuff, and it tickles me that the PC of each game is voiced by the same guy. XD Already I'm thinking of crossovers where Edward Pierce and Jonathan Reid find themselves in each other's games. . .
But that's for later. Right now, it's time to empty out the inbox and hit the sheets. Hopefully tomorrow will go well. *fingers crossed* Night all!
