crossover_chick: a vampire version of Alice Liddell and a human Victor Van Dort kissing (SIMS: Vamp!Alice and Victor Smooches)
As in, damn thing wouldn't stop ringing and interrupting us. *sigh* I mean, yes, customer service is part of my job, but I have SO MANY OTHER THINGS TO COVER. . . I managed to get to a FEW of them -- a couple more returns, putting some checks on, stuff like that -- but it seriously feels like being a hamster on a wheel, some days. At least my other coworker, the one who's been out for medical leave, SHOULD be back before the month is out. . . .we REALLY need that third person, that's for DAMN sure.

Evening's been better, at least -- I got another good chunk done on Chapter 17 of "Fixing You." Victor's talked to Dr. Wilson, and now we're coming full circle with the "stealing Victor's sketchbook" bit from the first chapter as Victor finally explains WHY it makes him so upset to Abigail. There's actually not that much more to go after that -- basically setting the wedding date and that's it. There's a small chance that this chapter MIGHT be ready in time for posting on Thursday evening. Don't get your hopes up too high, though -- I think it's probably a bit more likely I'll JUST miss the deadline. At least I've got a backup post in mind for tumblr.

The rest of the evening was largely Sims-themed:

-->Another episode of The Sim Supply's new Sims 2 LP -- the family is slowly but surely clawing their way up in the world! They now have a home business selling repaired cars; they've fixed up their kitchen and bought some actual decorations for their house; and they've successfully gotten their son into private school! After one failed attempt where James forgot he'd locked the house doors to everyone but household members and got really frustrated that the headmaster wasn't coming to look at the house or eat his dinner. Very funny, and very nostalgic. And reminds me that there's plenty from Sims 2 that I'd like to see reappear in Sims 4. (Why can't married couples spoon in bed anymore? Meh. . .)

-->I also watched another episode of Call Me Kevin's Sims 4 Pickens saga, with Jim actually managing to work his way down into the lowest parts of the lab to meet the Mother. He also got himself a new famous girlfriend by going to a talent show, aged his dog down to a puppy, and generally spread the Pickens charm. XD Always good for a laugh.

-->Got my own Newcrest Adventures posts ready in my VictorLuvsAlice queue! Showcasing Chell, Wheatley, and Geeker's adventures in the Secret Lab and the local Information Center. I have to say, I'm enjoying playing through the storyline. Everything has been set up rather well, with that trademark Sims charm. And it certainly gives the family something to do outside the norm!

I also watched Atop The Fourth Wall's latest episode -- another one of The California Raisin comics done in 3-D. No, you did not just dream that, those things are real. And very silly -- the first story being about a music-making machine that ends up making the band sound like tools (literally, a toolbox is dumped into it); the second about a Battle of the Bands being rigged by their nemesis, Big Burger. Also features the Lady Raisins, which are even creepier than their male counterparts. Linkara was THOROUGHLY unimpressed, and I don't blame him. Not to mention the 3-D drawings are hard to look at. . .

Rest of the evening has been mainly more queuing and catching up on websites -- all the usual stuff. Time for me to do the rounds in the inbox, then try and hit the sheets a little earlier than usual. Ended up going to bed later than usual last night thanks to an untimely knocking over of a cold medicine bottle, so I'm trying to balance things out a bit. *sigh* We'll see how tomorrow goes. Night all!
