crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (Default)
Nothing particularly exciting to report on from work, beyond me working through more of the returns and a fairly large GL this morning. I'm glad of that, trust me. The last few months have been so freaking stressful -- well, you don't need me to tell you that. It's such a relief not to have to worry about the matching gifts, or processing checks, or any of that. I feel like I've got some freaking time to BREATHE. Really hoping the streak continues for a while.

Evening was pretty typical too:

-->Wrote some more on Chapter 18 of "Fixing You" -- just some fluffy stuff between Victor and Alice as he muses about his recovery and about how he's actually going to miss Houndsditch a little. Not MUCH, mind, but he and Alice have made some good memories there. :) Almost to the point of getting them Downstairs, yay!

-->Watched The Sim Supply's latest episode of "Super Sim Challenge" -- Max is now running a diner, and doing -- not a half-bad job of it! After the first day, the place is up to two stars, despite some glitchy behavior from the staff and customers (a lot of them kept getting up and going outside mid-meal). Max also spent a bit of time with his family and dog, before heading back to the diner as James was bored of said family XD And then James tried to update the uniforms of the employees. . .

And not only did the uniforms not change, it apparently RESET HIS SAVE or something -- he's back to where he was when he started. (Literally, according to someone watching the clock.) So yeah, not a thrilling recommendation of Dine Out's restaurant-owning system! Hopefully he can figure out what happened by the next episode. . .

-->Watched Helloween's latest Metro Exodus set -- which didn't make me sick, yay! Well, it didn't make me MOTION sick -- the set involved plunging into the basement of a pre-war lab and retrieving maps. Only said basement had been taken over by giant scorpion-spiders. *shudder* Helloween doesn't mind the creepy-crawlies, but I DEFINITELY do. Fortunately one of the methods of dealing with them was set them on fire, which I thoroughly enjoyed. :P Poor Helloween, though -- he spent a lot of the set complaining about the launcher (apparently it's been giving him HUGE amounts of trouble), about how unrealistic this breakdown of society is, about how the controls in this game are shite and poorly documented, about how the open world portions of the game are less fun than these "railroady" sections. . . Guy had a lot of feelings, is what I'm saying. XD Made for entertaining listening, at least.

-->Got my Valice Multiverse queue and Victor Luvs Alice queues done -- bunch of asks for the former, Newcrest Adventures and an updated Londerland Bloodlines fic for the latter (that bit I revised to include Bonejangles as part of the group). Yay for productivity!

And now I have to get clear all the stuff in my inbox and go to bed. Got a hopefully halfway-decent Wednesday ahead. Keep your fingers crossed, everyone. . . Night all!
