Weather Going Downhill Thursday
May. 9th, 2019 11:02 pmTaking a dip toward cooler temperatures today. Fortunately we still had plenty of sunshine, so it was still nice enough to get outside for walks. I'm not sure I'll be that fortunate tomorrow. . .but then, I've got a lunch meeting tomorrow, and I'm planning on getting my Mother's Day card after work, so I was kind of thinking I'd have tomorrow be a skip day when it comes to working out anyway. Saturday's supposed to be nicer anyway -- certainly better temperatures!
Work was all right, though I didn't get quite as much done as I wanted. And we're still hashing out the final details of one of our projects -- turns out it has to get pretty much entirely redone now that we've come up with a different way of recording everything. *sigh* This is mostly on my coworker, but it kind of affects me too, as I'll need to know about this in case it's just me in the office again. (Which is something I hope doesn't happen for a good long while.) At least I have a few things ready to go tomorrow for before and after the lunch meeting. Hopefully that'll make the day go by.
Evening's been all right -- I got the rough draft done for my other gift fic for next week, and got up a bunch of old sentence prompts I did for the Forgotten Vows Verse a while back: To Sum Up. . . Title came from me thinking of the "Let me explain -- no, there is too much. Let me sum up" Princess Bride quote while trying to come up with a title, and thinking the end bit (or a variation thereof) worked pretty well for a collection of sentences. :p I've got another set going up next week, so that'll be fun. Kind of makes me want to seek out another prompt list for when I'm having bad brain days in writing. Something to ponder this weekend, maybe.
Video of the day was Helloween's latest set of the Nier replay -- Nier has learned that his new companion, Grimoire Weiss, might be the key to saving Yonah, so he's going around hunting Shades to discover the fabled "Sealed Verses" and restore Weiss's power. His first trip was to the Aerie, a village built inside a terrifyingly deep canyon and strung together with rickety bridges and platforms. *whimper* One cannot blame the villagers for all hiding inside, especially when Nier started killing Shades right outside their doors. And then Nier ran into a young woman, possessed by a Shade, wearing a ridiculous outfit, with a foul mouth, badass weapons, and awesome magic. Everyone, meet the totally awesome Kaine. :D She's not a companion yet, but just wait. . . And we ended the set on boar and sheep murder for the purposes of sidequest. Good stuff, even if technically I've seen it before. :p
Rest of the evening's been catching up on websites and getting queues sorted -- Valice Multiverse was pretty full tonight. At least I'm good through Saturday with my Victor Luvs Alice one. . .time to clear out the last of the comments and hit the sheets. Fingers crossed Friday goes well. . . Night all!
