Well, Today Was A Monday

For me and everyone around me -- we had the garage door refusing to close right as I was heading out to work (turns out a board had fallen and knocked one of the infrared eyes out of alignment, meaning the door was confused as to whether or not it should close); my parents ran into some issues helping a friend install her new air conditioners in preparation for summer; my coworkers ran into various traffic-related problems during work (there was a massive accident on 295 today -- apparently involved tree-trimming trucks!); I had to take the long way home through the city after hearing that there were TWO disabled vehicles on 95 North; and I had to juggle my walk, shower, supper, making muffins, and folding laundry when I did get home, meaning most of my evening was eaten up by chores. *sigh* I mean, they had to be done (especially muffins if I want breakfast tomorrow morning), but -- I dunno. It kind of feels like time was just constantly slipping away from me today. Meh.

I did get a few things I intended to get done, done this evening:

-->Wrote some more on "Secundus 2" -- a new nightmare sequence for Victor! Hey, it worked in "Fixing You," didn't it? (I was actually rereading a bit of that this morning, in fact. Probably where I got the inspiration.) This nightmare's of a different flavor, though -- Victor being terrified he's going to lose control and hurt his child. The stuff with the Queen's been weighing pretty heavily on him again, and combined with him going super-scary Touched to frighten Gordon. . .yeah, he's having some doubts. Fortunately, unlike "Fixing You," he's actually going to TALK with people about this. Amazing what having a better support network for longer will do.

-->Watched Helloween's latest Metro Exodus set -- largely spent knocking out bandits to rescue some captured Pioneers; reuniting with Olga and listening to her infodump about what happened with the kids, why they split into the Pioneers and Pirates, and the ultimate fate of The Teacher (I say infodump, but it was actually fairly gripping -- the story in this particular section of world is well done); and attempting to stealth through the Pirate base to get a boat and failing miserably because it's just too easy to get noticed. Poor Hells, he really is trying! Hopefully he can find the best path next time we loop back around to this game. . .

-->Watched The Sim Supply's birthday video! Yes, his birthday is -- well, actually TOMORROW in this part of the world (6/4). He's turning 25, and he decided to celebrate by sharing some childhood pictures, and having an epic party for his Simself in Sims 4! Well, his Semaj Renrut simself, who got famous in a separate Let's Play, and then he moved him into the Bigwallet save file, and had a baby with Lady II. XD His old Mad Scientist Simself James also lives in that same save file, so he actually had his Get Famous Simself making friends with his scientist Simself. And then Semaj had a party at Lady II's, woohooed with her in the hot tub, stole all her money from her vault, and THEN decided "I've already had a baby with YOU, let's try your older sister" and got together with Raggy. Right in front of his wife Holly from the Cowplant Lovelympics (this was a -- thing, and James hadn't realized he'd done it in the same save file, so even HE was surprised XD). And then he impregnated Raggy and stole all HER family's money from their vault. XD It was pretty epic.

As things stand right now, though, I've got to answer my remaining stuff in the inbox, and then go to bed. I had a hard time sleeping last night, so I'm pretty tired right now. At least tomorrow's likely to be a fairly quiet day -- most of the other staff will be off at an off-site thing, and it's a short day thanks to a graduation, so yay there. I'll have to plan my time carefully to actually get some stuff done. :p For now, night all!
