Yeah, actually had a pretty decent Monday, all things considered -- just the sort of thing you want after a weekend where you sustained a head injury. (Swelling's pretty much gone completely away now, for those worried -- still a little tender to the touch where it scratched me, but I think I got away without anything truly horrible.) Got a few things sorted with the returns, started gathering stuff for a future project in September, kept busy enough that the day didn't full-on crawl. I'll take it.

Weather was decent enough too -- warm, but not particularly sticky! Got out for a walk both at lunch and after work. Gotta take full advantage of these days as they come -- tomorrow it starts clouding up, and then midweek we have rain, and after that apparently the humidity starts coming back. *sigh* August. Still, take this over the cold dark slog that is winter around here.

Evening has largely consisted of:

-->Writing another chunk on "Secundus 2" -- Gordon's failed physical attack on Victor, followed up by an unintended but much more successful psychological attack. Plus, with him going on about the spiders, the crowd is not feeling very favorable toward young Mr. Van Dort and his group right now. . . And of course, Buford's doing his thing in the background, which is very shortly to become the foreground. . .

-->Watching a bunch of Plumbella videos to clear them from my Watch Later queue -- her attempt at giving Vlad Straud a makeover and updating his house, which went wrong when she decided to kill the Vatores and he turned out not to be as into it as she first expected; an experiment to see if Sims who are given different traits will really do different things on free will, or if Sim autonomy generally leads to all Sims performing the same activities (her results indicate it's more of the latter, with some Sims moving in spooky unison as their needs depleted and they chose the same items to take care of them); her thoughts on what she would like to see from the upcoming Realm of Magic game pack (basically sort of the same expectations as me -- just give us Makin' Magic over again and we'll be happy); and a history of magic over the Sims series (again, with a lot of love for Makin' Magic -- great to see another Simmer who loved that pack as much as I did :D). All a bit of fun, and put me in the mood for getting some my queue done!

-->Said queue consisting of the first two parts of my Newcrest Adventures update for the week (three-part update what with growing up Laserwolf, Neighborhood Brawl, and some new outfits for dog and owner at the end) -- I haven't finished the text for part 2, but I'm farther along than I usually am for these updates on a Monday! And I already have drafted my post for Thursday, and I know what's going up on Friday. . .there's efficiency here, it's just well-hidden. :p

And that's about it, really. Typical Monday, more or less. Let's hope it sets a precedent for the rest of the week. *fingers crossed* Anyway, gotta get ready to get through Tuesday now -- night all!
