Grey And Gloomy Day
Oct. 3rd, 2019 11:31 pmAnd chilly -- never even looked at 60. :( I actually DID try venturing out for a quick walk at lunchtime, but had to stop early because it started sprinkling. Meh. Tomorrow's supposed to be a little nicer, though, so fingers crossed!
Anyway, my day was pretty quiet -- got a few problems solved, brought some others to the attention of the right people, all of that. Ride home was a mess, though (so much traffic, and out of NOWHERE), and my parents had a bad day (Mom was SUPPOSED to get new lenses for her glasses, but the place they went to couldn't grind the new ones for some reason, and then their machine broke, so. . .plus they got a new coffee maker that -- well, it makes decent coffee, but only about a half-cup at a time, so it's gotta go back), so Dad was in a crappy mood, which didn't help things. And then the patch that came out today for The Sims 4 didn't address ANY of the Realm of Magic issues, which is -- a bit concerning? *sigh* At least I know what mods I should get to fix what I can. . .if the patch didn't BREAK them, that is. *grumbles* Well,I'm not planning on playing until Sunday anyway, so. . .
Accomplishments of the evening:
-->Making my muffins, yay breakfast
-->Finishing off "Secundus 2!" Yeah, I had just under two pages to go, so I went ahead and completed the fic! :D W0000~ Now it's ready to sit and simmer for a little while. :) Next up -- well, tomorrow being Friday, I might do some notes on that Victor Otherland story I want to do. But after that, it's officially "Londerland Bloodlines" time. Best to start this during the month of Halloween, right? :D
-->Watching a few Sims 4 videos -- another build in Glimmerbrook by lilsimsie (completely demolishing the EA starter home in favor of a weird -- well, it LOOKS big and fancy, but it's actually a one-bedroom house for a pair of old lesbian spellcasters and their four cats. Came out nice, though); Plumbella making her ideal SimSelf and giving her her ideal SimMan (a Southern gentleman named Billy, whom she has a favorite fantasy about -- most amusing XD); and a list of all the spells in Realm of Magic from onlyabidong, with success and failure states (useful -- and amusing, given the CC he used XD Ever want to see a Xenomorph making out with a Spider Queen while having spells cast on him by Dr. Stephen Strange?)
-->Getting my Victor Luvs Alice and Valice Multiverse queues done -- ready for Friday, at least! And I have some ideas for posts for next week now too. Starting to get my groove back a bit. I hope, anyway.
And now it's time to wrap up my tag checking and hit the sheets. One more day to get through work-wise -- should be quiet, given it'll probably just be the three of us up front. Probably get to work on some maintenance stuff. . .usual drill for this time of year. Just plodding along the best we can. *nods* Night alll!
