crossover_chick: Doc looking very sarcastically over his shoulder (BTTF: in a sarcastic mood)
Well, February's off to a great start -- always fun when you get to start off your day having to change your underwear because of a little "accident." No, not my period, I already had that -- had a mild case of the shits this morning. Ended up wearing a pad most of the day because I was worried it would happen again. I don't feel sick, so it's obviously something I ate disagreeing with me, but I have no clue what, and it's just -- uuugh.

Then, I spent most of the day waiting around for my parents to get home after they went out antique-shopping this morning -- they said they were on their way home around 1, but they didn't actually get back, and we consequently didn't each lunch, until about 2. And because of the way my brain works, I ended up reading a bunch of stuff on TV Tropes instead of watching any of the videos I'd planned to watch because it's easier to disengage from text instead of videos if I get interrupted. (Though I did get to learn what was behind the movie Get Out, so that was interesting.)

Then I spent most of my afternoon shoe-shopping, because -- well, no choice, really, I needed new shoes. First place we stopped -- an actual shoe store -- had a decent selection, but nothing that actually fit me, because my feet are JUUUST wide enough to require a "wide", and JUUUUST small enough to require an 8, and guess what size they didn't have in any of the shoes that would have suited? *sigh* Fortunately, the next store, Kohl's, turned out to have a LOT of "wide" shoes -- though, again, the trick was finding an 8. Fortunately, Mom was smart enough to have me try on a pair of shoes sitting on top for display, and THOSE were the right size, so shock and relief. *sigh* Set me back $60, but as they were originally priced at $90. . .I'll take it. We also swung by Target so Mom could get some baking pans that properly fit in the convection oven (so she could make pizza tomorrow) and some whipping cream (for the cheesecake tonight).

Then, after getting home, I got caught up in reading up on some tumblr blogs, but managed to pull myself away long enough to play some Bloodlines. Which I had to fire up twice because I accidentally clicked the wrong one first. . . (If you don't know, I play with Unofficial Plus Patch, which actually sets up a separate version of the game that you launch; I clicked on the icon for the vanilla game. Was scared for a second I might have mucked something up with my save file, but turns out it was okay, whew.) Anyway, found the sarcophagus and had the boss fight with the Chang Brothers -- which was a pain in my undead behind, let me tell you! Especially since both deal aggravated damage, they can TELEPORT -- oh, and there's also a ghost randomly flinging fireballs at you, which I don't know if that's a feature of the original game or the patch I'm using, but is EXTREMELY ANNOYING either way. Through a lot of quicksaving, running in circles, and Bloodheal, I managed to eventually kill the brothers and reclaim the sarcophagus. (And Claw Brother's claw weapon, because DAMN.) Brought it to LaCroix, who threw a hissy fit when we couldn't get it open. Talked to Beckett and got the next main quest in the chain, and a free XP point for discussing his past with him. Then headed on back to my haven to check my e-mails -- and have a sudden surprise conversation with the TV Broadcaster. XD It's fun playing a Malkavian sometimes. Next session is gonna be all about doing the remaining sidequests I want to complete (all the Chinatown stuff, Tangled Web, and Gargoyle Removal). Then we're moving onto the endgame, w000~

Then I had to take my shower and have supper -- which we ended up having at 8 due to our late lunch and Mom getting involved with the puzzle and not starting it earlier. And the show we wanted to watch had been copyright claimed and blocked. *grumble* At least we had a substitute on-hand, but talk about frustrating.

Then I had to write up my notes/timeline stuff for "Londerland Bloodlines," which always takes longer than I think it will, and so only had time for one video from my Watch Later queue -- Outstar's latest VTM Clan video, all about the Gangrel! Which was pretty interesting -- I didn't know much about the clan's history, so it was nice to be filled in. Plus there were plenty of mentions of Beckett, who of course is Best Vampire, so. . . :p Still, I was hoping to get to at least the other two videos she's posed recently. . .

Then, while doing replies over on Valice Multiverse, I had to go to the toilet again, and one of the extra ties on my bathrobe (you know, the little ones that allow you to tie it up without using the big outer belt?) ended up dragging in the toilet. >.< I washed it off when I washed my hands, and ended up just snipping the damn thing off because I never use those ties and they're just a pain.

So yeah, that was my Saturday, folks. Kind of literally shitty in parts, and I didn't get NEARLY as much done as I was hoping. At least I accomplished both main goals I listed yesterday. . . Oh, and I did get the latest "Scenes From Secundus" up: Not My Style, a short about Victor and some ridiculous cufflinks. So -- that's something, anyway. Still, I really wish I'd managed to watch more of my Watch Later queue, or read some more fanfic I've been meaning to read, or just -- I dunno. *sigh* Just -- a lot of little things that added up to me being in a not-great mood.

Well, we'll see how tomorrow goes. I gotta get my Victor Luvs Alice queue sorted and check on Valice Multiverse again. Night all.
