crossover_chick: Doc in goggles and holding a big old plug with the words "feeling sparky..." (BTTF: feeling sparky/creative)
AKA, the phones have calmed down some, we have some explanations and solutions for the stuff that hasn't gone out, and while I got stressed out by some stuff, it wasn't nearly as bad as yesterday. Plus the commute up and back wasn't too bad either. I'll take it for midweek. I just hope tomorrow ends up being more of this instead of more like Monday or Tuesday. . .

Other things of note from tonight:

-->Kept up on my working out, w000

-->Wrote another chunk on "Londerland Bloodlines" -- Alice checking out the Southland Slasher's first murder on the advice of Wonderland (and spotting Beckett in wolf form in the process). Nothing too fancy, but we're advancing all these plot quests, and that's the important thing. Now it's time to get her back into the city and to the clinic! Might not quite be time to ghoul Victor, but she needs meds, blood, and the opportunity to meet Knox.

-->Watched three "let's torture Sims" videos, courtesy of GrayStillPlays and CallMeKevin:

A) GrayStillPlays sets up a pool for his Sims! Which is two tiles wide, and is accessible only by red velvet rope fence maze. XD He did provide toilets and a dance floor in the middle -- plus tiny, tiny beds all over the place, mostly because watching Sims use them amused him greatly. XD And then he dumped 200 Sims on the lot to walk the maze. Of the contestants, only ONE actually made it to the pool -- and she was so tired by the time she got there she almost immediately drowned. XD Though one Sim managed to buck the system by just swimming through the foundation. And the rest did so by freezing the game so completely Gray couldn't get it back. XD Don't worry, he makes special saves so he doesn't completely ruin it!

B) GrayStillPlays puts Ellis Dee in charge of 100 children, starting with child versions of Australia Man and Florida Man. XD It got -- pretty chaotic, let me tell you. So many stinky, starving, uneducated children roaming the house, making messes and causing Ellis to just freeze in place. . .and the Florida Kid somehow managed to randomly catch on fire. Now, granted, Gray had done everything in his power to make sure a fire broke out -- bonfires all over the back yard, kid-sized grills, campfires inside the house -- but Florida Kid wasn't near any of them when it happened. He just -- spontaneously combusted. XD It was a hilariously fitting end to the episode, let me tell you.

C) CallMeKevin continues his adventures in Jim's overstuffed tiny house -- mainly by building Jim a nice little apartment he can live in while the rest of the Sims are crammed into the actual tiny house. With a deadly Murphy Bed. XD That claimed the life of only one Sim, though -- the others died of starvation, burning up in the sun (a vampire who tried, foolishly, to suck Jim Pickens's blood), and burning to death via magical fire in Jim's apartment's bathroom when she dared to cross the locked door.

. . .Jim's entire apartment then proceeded to burn down because Kevin/Jim couldn't unlock the door to extinguish it. XD Also all the babies and children got taken away by Sims CPS because no one would look after them, and Grim was being very -- lax about actually taking away the corpses. Kevin's proposed solution? Vault time! Because that's what we need, a trip down Fallout lane in his game. . . XD

-->Also watched the first episode of Lego Masters on Fox, and -- eeeeh? *waggles hand* There were some very cool builds (it was basically 'design your own theme park, with a working, moving ride'), but -- as usual for these shows -- there was less focus on the building and more on the "dramu" between people and the host being corny to the point of being annoying. (Come on, Will Arnett, you were so good as LEGO Batman. . .) A couple of the contestants have already made themselves very punchable, let me say. I dunno -- I do want to see more of what happens, but. . .is this really worth sitting through commercials for? I should see if someone's uploaded it on YouTube tomorrow and if we can watch it like that instead, sort of like how we've managed Halloween Wars from time to time. . . (I do recommend at least looking up some pictures from the episode -- a couple of the builds were truly amazing. :D)

-->Posted a review I've been trying to finish for ages to the next chapter of a friend's fic -- ugh, I'm being SO SLOW about reading this. . . Problem is, this story has long chapters, and when you combine that with my tendency to go on and on in reviews, it makes for large gaps in between said reviews. Really gotta figure out how to speed this process up. . .

-->And having completed my inbox comments, I'm just finishing up getting my queue sorted for the next few days -- up through Saturday is a go! Just need to find something for the first half of Sunday. . .got a few good ideas for next week too, due to Valentine's Day. At least I know exactly what I'm doing for Friday! (And this weekend, as these Valicetines won't make themselves.)

Okay, time to finish up that and head to bed -- two more days of work to make it through! Though there's a small chance of a delay tomorrow, since we're due some wintery weather overnight that'll be turning to freezing rain by morning, bleh. Fingers crossed it's either not too bad, or I have some extra time to prepare for the ride. . . Night all!
