Okay, That Was A Better Friday
Feb. 21st, 2020 11:30 pmPhone was on the quieter side, I got some checks on and updated a few other things, had a largely uninterrupted lunch, the GL didn't take nearly as long. . .basically, I felt like I could properly breathe again (in multiple senses -- nose was not sort-of-on-the-verge-of-stuffy either! I'm starting to think it's the weather, or just the building), and that made all the difference. Whew.
Can't complain about my evening, either:
-->Made some decent progress on our puzzle, hooking up some various bits to the side -- it's slowly starting to come together! The bottom half is actually almost entirely built up, so -- progress!
-->Got in a quick workout, which is good~
-->Wrote up a quick gift fic for a friend whose birthday I just learned -- hopefully she enjoys it! It was Bloodlines-related too (she has her own verse using the game for RP purposes), so I'm keeping to my schedule as well. :p
-->Watched a bunch of CallMeKevin tonight:
A) Drug Dealer Simulator, which is one of those kinda el cheapo simulator games with all the same models -- Kevin was a very panicky drug dealer who mainly serviced this one guy, Pablo Bong, and kept getting tased by the police at awkward moments. XD
B) A rhythm game Kevin never actually named, but involved Wiimote-enabled maracas! :D Very noisy, but so worth, especially when paired with the costume he wore. XD He wasn't that bad with them either -- though he did stumble on some of the faster-paced songs that required posing. Look, he keeps hitting his microphone with the damn things, let him LIVE.
C) Human Simulator -- remember this from Gray's channel? XD Yes, Hugh Mann is back, to do horrible jobs in a horrible way! And, much like Gray showing off later levels of Speaking Simulator after Kevin showed the earlier stuff, Kevin showed off a later level of Human Simulator after Gray showed the earlier stuff! Namely, Kevin showed us the "security guard" job, which involves a lot of "pretending to drink coffee" and pepper-spraying little annoying girls who happen to have stubble because there is only like two models for people in this whole game. XD It was fantastic and I really hope he does the final level later.
D) Metro Exodus: Sam's Story -- a game I did NOT expect to see again, much less on Kevin's channel. O.o But yeah, thanks to a sponsor from the Epic Games store, Kevin tried playing Sam's DLC for the latest installment in the Metro series! He immediately tried to run away from all danger, broke his legs from falling off high buildings twice, and got into a knife fight with a bat-man. XD The plot, such as it is, seems to revolve around Sam trying to get a sub ride back to the United States so he can see who, if anyone, survived over there (Sam is actually an American soldier who was stranded in the metro when the initial bombs fell, in case you didn't know). Honestly, I'm just glad the DLC seems focused on a water area -- I still remember that weird case of motion sickness I got when Helloween was doing the desert section in his LP. (Good thing it only lasted like one or two sets!)
-->Got both my VictorLuvsAlice and Valice Multiverse queues sorted, and my comments in the inbox answered, yay~
So yeah, I'm in a good spot for tonight! Friday Night Writing Thing is probably imminent, so I'll wrap up here. Tomorrow: cleaning, some more Bloodlines, lots of fic review (both my gift fic and the first chapter of "Secundus 2"), and at least the rest of the CallMeKevin videos I have in the Watch Later (I have three more -- I also hope to fit in both Atop The Fourth Wall episodes I have in there, and maybe Jay's latest 60 Seconds Reatomized video if I can). Night all!
