Yes, guess who got her period this evening! And unfortunately got blood all over the fresh white underwear she'd put on after her shower! *grumbles* I caught it before it got too bad and managed to wash pretty much all of it out, but still. I was actively trying to look out for this, so I don't like being surprised. At least the stupid thing is here now, and hopefully my mood should stabilize again. I was getting pretty pissed off at tumblr fuckery this morning (was trying to get my Newcrest Adventures posts queued. . .thanks to various "upload errors" and suchlike, I got one full post, and one post with just the pictures and captions. I guess at least I've got something still going in the queue?).
Anyway -- round up of my Monday:
-->Work was SUPER quiet, which I appreciate; just a few memos coming in on stuff. We'll see if this lasts into tomorrow or what.
-->YouTube has been behaving off and on -- I managed to watch the final episode of "Vein Pursuit" with minimal interruption, and two whole GrayStillPlays videos with no problem at 1080p -- then on the final video, with like a minute to go, suddenly the whole thing crapped out. I had to eventually close the tab and reopen it to finally get it to load properly and watch the very end! I have discovered that: 1) if I'm just listening to music, the best way to get an uninterrupted experience is to kill the video quality -- I almost never watch the music videos associated with them, so it doesn't matter to me if they're 144p; 2) if I am watching something I want to be in decent quality, it pays to stop a moment and let a decent buffer build on the progress bar -- taking a moment to pause before "Vein Pursuit" is what I think contributed to that going pretty much smoothly all the way through.
-->SPEAKING of "Vein Pursuit" -- HOLY CRAP THAT ENDING. It was -- it was EPIC, let's say that. :D A fitting send-off for our coeterie.
( And now some spoilers )
-->Of course, after that, I definitely had to do all the Bloodlines-related things! After a walk out in the yard, that is -- it was super-nice out late this afternoon, so I took the opportunity to get out in the fresh air and do laps around the house. Walked about two miles all told, if Dad's calculations are right. :) Gotta get that exercise in!
Anyway, after that and a shower, I decided my time was best spent writing some more on "Londerland Bloodines!" And I had a very productive session with it -- finished off Alice's poking around the second floor of the clinic, trying to get her hands on the werewolf blood! She managed to avoid the guard, get the blood, and get out, all without setting off the alarm. She even locked up behind her before she left! XD Best part is, now that I've written all that, I've FINALLY come to the part where I can bring in Victor. :D Slotting in Victor's perspective on "Trick or Treatment" this Wednesday! Time for Alice to make a ghoul. (Falling in love with him comes later.)
-->And then, after supper, I went ahead and fired up Bloodlines itself! Because I sure as hell wasn't going to skip playing it. Alice has been slaughtering guards, SWAT, and Ventrue left-right-and-center as she climbs the tower -- even successfully defeated the guard LaCroix Dominated into being a suicide bomber and sent up the bomb as a little "surprise" to more of his guards waiting at the top of an elevator. Though, uh, I don't seem to recall a remix of "All Your Base Are Belong To Us" playing when I fought said guard the first time. . .maybe it's a Malkavian thing? (I'm almost certain it's also a patch thing. . .) Ah well, it's not like any of this is "canon" to the actual story I'm writing anyway. I've got her parked in the elevator right before the Sheriff boss fight. Holy crap, I'm so close to actually finishing this. . .gonna keep to my current schedule though and do it on Friday. Feels like a good way to end the week. :)
-->As indicated previously, I (eventually) watched three GrayStillPlays videos:
A) Another Episode, in which Gray played Florida Matlock of Canada, a defense lawyer who must defend three beautiful women accused of murder. . .who then all end up living in his house and committing more murders together. Gray was thrilled. XD
B) Another Brick In The Mall, in which Gray decided to see just how far the average customer would travel for toilet paper, and for how long they would search. Turns out 1) building the giant maze necessary for this torture was the perfect way to make Gray suffer too; 2) one particular customer took TWELVE DAYS to reach the store once the maze was finished -- Gray ended the episode before she could make it back. XD Oh man. . .
C) Democracy 3 (the one that stalled out right at the end), in which Gray became president and promptly enacted every policy he could to turn the entire populace into drunk, drug-addicted, unemployed, uneducated losers. It actually took him four years and like ten attempts to finally get assassinated. XD (He even got an achievement for surviving so long! Plus one for boozing up the nation. I love when the games do this sort of thing -- it's like they ANTICIPATED Gray. :p)
-->Oh, and my unemployment claim was processed, so that's one load off my mind. Apparently I am getting things to review, and have to contact them next Sunday to trigger payments. As long as that all goes smoothly, I should be fine, yay.
And now it's time to clean up what's left in the inbox, maybe do just a little more writing on that second Newcrest Adventures post I got up, then hit the sheets as I am already descending into "period tired" mode. At least I don't actually have to drive into the office while I feel like this! Tomorrow, I plan on cleaning up all the "Call Me Kevin" videos I have in my Watch Later, playing Fallout 4, working on "Secundus 2," and hopefully getting another 40 laps around the house if the weather is again decent. *fingers crossed* Night all!
