crossover_chick: picture of Alice (Wonderland) in front of the swirling purple Wonderland tunnel (AMA: Alice down the rabbit hole)
Right smack dab in the middle of my period, of course, meaning my concentration is not at its best. . .at least my favorite long-play compilation of Vampire: the Masquerade -- Bloodlines music is back from the war (aka being blocked on copyright grounds). Listening to it now while I work to keep my mind on what I'm doing. It's working -- somewhat well. *shakehead* Let's have an update on how the day went, shall we?

Work – Mostly quiet, to my relief. I spent most of the day working on a list of people who need to receive reminders for stuff – a project I’ve been trying to get to for about a week now, so. . .hooray for making some progress on that at last! We’ll see how it goes next week.

Beanbags – Yes, though we only played three games because a) Mom thought it was later than it was and b) we were all a bit concerned that it was going to rain. 2-3-2 for me – Dad had W-2-W and Mom 3-W-3. *shrug* Again, consistent with how we’ve all been doing as of late!

To-Do List

1. Get in a workout: Check – another half-hour on the bike, and I watched the majority of PleasantSims’s look at two different chemistry mods for Sims 4 – one by someone named Pancakes1, and “Wonderful Whims.” The first focuses on “friendly chemistry” and has a few different levels (bad, okay, good, wonderful) to see how a Sim feels about another Sim generally – it comes with a few preferences, but doesn’t do much to the game. “Wonderful Whims,” though – yeah, that one lets you customize EVERYTHING your Sim finds attractive, man. Liberty Lee in her game apparently likes goth guys with black thrifted clothes, eyeliner and piercings, and a good-sized booty. XD It looks like a gorgeously in-depth mod, and is definitely on my list to play with in the future. :)

2. Edit some more on “Londerland Bloodlines”: Check – Alice has used Mark Bremerkamp for the vampire version of a “quickie” (after he finished peeing, of course), taking advantage of the fact that he suggested a liaison to justify it to her conscience (it’s as close to consent as she can get at the moment). Now she’s off to find Trip! Or, rather, to discover that she lives right above Trip and could have gotten the painkillers when she went to drop off her stuff. XD Look, she was a bit thirsty, and even Rabbit’s going to admit it’s best to keep the Queen happy over anything else!

3. Keep up with YouTube Subscriptions: Check! Four for four today, but I got ‘em all –

A) Started with the latest Fun With Shorts – “The Doctor” Part 2! The second half of a short about a pediatrician and his patients. Good news, Larry – the boy with a sore throat – doesn’t have strep throat and can have his party! A fact that he was very overly-enthusiastic about. XD We also had Dr. Lewis manhandling a girl with a broken wrist, and going to visit another girl who had measles and talking up the vaccines for it (toooopical). Riffs were on point as usual, including a few digs at just how messed up the whole system is. :p You tell 'em, Josh!

B) Then it was onto James Turner for another episode of “Rags to Redecoration!” Hazel did a pair of gigs today – a walk-in closet for a single mother and her three kids in their apartment (she wasn’t allowed to actually add a wall to make the “closet” properly walk-in, but she made do with some tall curtains and lots of modular cabinets – also she threw in some new lights and added a bunk bed to the kid’s room so everyone had an appropriate place to sleep), and a kitchen renovation for a bunch of friends in Oasis Springs (the only thing she got from them was that they liked blue and hated Modern furniture – James ended up ignoring that last because the actual Dream Home Decorator stuff is tagged as “modern” and he wanted to use it XD He did make it very blue, though! And gave them some new appliances to boot). Everyone loved both, and one of her past jobs is even going to be featured on the Dream Home Decorator Network! :D Good thing they’re not showcasing her OWN place, though – everything is constantly broken because of gremlins (James is seriously considering taking that lot trait off – good thing Hazel likes being handy!), and there’s not a lot that actually MATCHES right now. Though she has gotten some new counters and reoriented her kitchen, upgraded to a double bed with one tiny bedside table, and swiped herself an armchair. It’s coming along, is what I’m saying. Next time, we’ll see if she can earn herself another promotion!

C) After that it was time for Call Me Kevin and more TLC madness – a woman who spends an unhealthy amount of time with her puppets! Someone in the comments pointed out that she IS apparently trying to be a ventriloquist for a living, but April uses “May” in casual conversations with family members too (to the point where her sister is forced to apologize to the puppet for insinuating she’d rather talk to her sister one-on-one) and – as revealed in a session with a psychiatrist – she literally ended an engagement in favor of the puppets. She basically outright says that she uses “May” to say the things that are really on her mind without repercussions, and has no interest in changing. It’s kind of sad, honestly. At least it led to the creation of “Socky” for the Kevin Cinematic Universe! XD Oh, Kevin, he tries so hard to understand these people. . . (Also, yes, Resident Evil Village and Donna Beneviento (aka creepy puppet lord) was brought up. Trust me, May is creepier than Angie!)

D) And finally we had GrayStillPlays and another GTA V stunt board! This one was a parkour with trolling – like the very first corner being into a platform that doesn’t exist! Or having to play the xylophone with your bike while avoiding the "!" signs and getting the timing and angle just right so you don’t pop off the last jump at the end! Or being tricked into making a jump when actually you just have to go around the corner! Or trying to launch yourself onto a tightrope by going round and round a cylinder – only to discover the tightrope actually runs the length of the cylinder and the walls “dividing” it are fake. XD Gray made ALL the fun noises during this one! Though he also had some pretty incredible saves, including two “accidentally skipping half the loop-de-loop” falls near the end. Moral of the story? Impossible boards may make Gray weep, but he shall not be defeated by them! He may WISH he was. . .

4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: Check – VictorLuvsAlice is of course set, so I just had to do Valice Multiverse – one ask reply, two reblogs that struck my fancy. All good to go!

So yeah, that's pretty good. Now I still have to answer my DW comment, so let me set up tomorrow's to-do, then get on that:

1. Clean my room

2. Watch the two OXBox list videos and the latest AT4W episode in my Watch Later, along with keeping up on YouTube Subs

3. Either work some more on the Kinkverse stuff or write my other owed gift fic for the month

4. Play Sims 4 and either play another day of Emmett and Nikal, or revamp my "family fun center" build now that we have platforms

5. Answer the FF.net PM in my inbox

*nods* Seems reasonable -- I hope, anyway! Onto comment glory -- night all!
