crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (Default)
Though fortunately I haven't been overwhelmed with trying to keep up with messages tonight, so it's not quite so bad. I've just been distracted, as is my wont. Let's get up the list and head out, shall we?

Work – MUCH quieter day – lot of write-offs, mostly, as I cleared out some that had been waiting for a while with no response. I also got out another e-mail to the credit card people regarding some open issues, and finished up my current round of obituaries and cleared up some duplicates. Nothing particularly exciting, but – you know what, I’ve had much worse days.

To-Do List

1. Get in a workout: Check – another thirty on the bike, and another half-hour or so with Jon’s Original FO4 Playthrough! I finished Episode 14 today – Miss Jon continued shooting her way through Fort Hagen with Dogmeat, taking down synths, turrets, and her Protectron buddy after he turned on her for taking down a turret (aww). She also poked in every corner and looted everything of value to her – amusingly, this was less than expected when she found the password to the armory, as she already had a Fat Man, and really just needed some of the ammo. XD Past!Jon was very pleased to find his character was already so badass she didn’t need the extra help from a literal military installation’s weapons. XD She did eventually make it down to Kellogg, where she confronted him about the location of her son, and he confirmed that he was in the Institute – “safe and happy” apparently, which. . .I guess, given what we know about the ORIGINAL Shaun, is accurate. I’m not sure about his synth kid duplicate. But yeah, they talked, then Miss Jon made him wait before initiating combat with the final dialogue prompt so she could check out his back-up (two synths) and loot the entire area. Kellogg TRIED to use a stealth boy to get the sneaky attacks, but Dogmeat was on him before he could go anywhere, and some hits from Righteous Authority took him down (which – you know what, given the name of the gun, feels appropriate). Miss Jon took out the synths right afterward, looted Kellogg’s corpse for his nifty gun, decent armor, and cybernetic bits, checked his terminal, and then went outside –

To see the Brotherhood of Steel rock up in their airship. Past!Jon was dutifully impressed (as he always is; he’s repeatedly called this an amazing entrance in his videos) and decided that, after seeing that, Miss Jon should probably work on a few Brotherhood missions to get further into their good graces!

Not before crafting, though! Kellogg’s pistol (already an excellent weapon) got a little scope upgrade, while the clothing was stored in the “Legendaries I Don’t Want To Break Down Or Carry Around” suitcase. XD The episode ended with Miss Jon in some nice new gear (she also found a great combat armor chestpiece right before the battle with Kellogg) and planning on taking on “The Lost Patrol” quest starting next episode. Should be fun!

2. Write some more on “Learn To Love Again”: Check – Victor finished up his Corpse Bride recap by telling Alice and June of Emily’s ascension, which they both found very beautiful and comforting. However, Alice did note that Victor’s not currently married to Victoria, which has led into the aftermath portion of the tale – namely, the flight of the Everglots, Victor being thanked by Gertrude Carter (making his parents realize he’s not nuts), and Pastor Galswells coming in to “cleanse” Victor and revealing he didn’t cotton on that the invasion of the dead was a wedding (meaning he doesn’t think Victor is full-on demon spawn, yay). Unfortunately, while this is definitely better than what happened to his Forgotten Vows self, Galswells did storm into town with a few choice words that are going to be overheard, passed on, and misinterpreted. . .

3. Keep up with YouTube Subscriptions: Check – very easy since there were only two videos in there today –

A) Started with James Turner’s return to the Cottage Living LP! And it’s official – Hazel is getting with Trenton! James was already kind of rooting for that pairing anyway, as he feels like Chaz doesn’t really need a life companion in that sense – though he’s willing to have SOME sort of relationship blossom with Kim Goldbloom, the grocery stall owner. He’s even sneakily aged her down so she won’t die before she becomes Chaz’s love interest/best friend/possible business partner (as Chaz is looking to open up his own retail lot on the square). For now, though, he’s content in just selling stuff to her – and completing her errands to get some upgrade parts. :p

As for Hazel and Trenton, things are already chaotic – Trenton tried to ask Hazel on a date, but apparently she rejected him because, well, he stayed at the farm and got an embarrassed moodlet. But she DID show up at the house later that evening, and happily accepted kissing. Even with Caleb Vatore showing up and ruining the mood. XD She even consented to a sleepover, which led to James buying a TV and a popcorn machine so they could watch a movie together – and then getting distracted and instead having them cook together. Which ALMOST started with Trenton going to the COMMERCIAL fridge out in the stall (which also now contains a robotics station because farm robot army), but fortunately did end up taking place in the kitchen. And then Hazel was too tired to actually eat and went to bed. And then she and Trenton wouldn’t sleep in the same bed. And then they woohooed, but Trenton had to pee immediately afterward. And then Fae Fae pooped on the kitchen floor. And the stove and the upstairs sink were both broken. ...It was a NIGHT, is what I’m saying. And later, Hazel tried to invite Trenton on a date herself, only to be turned down because James was focusing on completing an errand for Agnes Crumplebottom as Chaz (doing ALL the cross-stitch) in the vain hope that she’d give him another one that would provide Livestock upgrade parts. Those seem to be thin on the ground, lately – James just wants to be able to auto-feed his evil chickens! Especially since more and more of them keep hatching! And Cowtrina keeps complaining about neglect, and. . .basically, it is chaos all day every day at the Ricks farm. At least they’ve got more dew collectors to help manage their water needs. . .

B) Then it was over to Call Me Kevin, being sponsored to play Humankind! It’s a Civilization-esque game about growing your own empire by adopting the styles of different cultures, building outposts and cities. . .and in Kevin’s case, waging almost constant wars against your neighbors, particularly the Greeks. Seriously, he went hard into being the most militaristic civilization he could – choosing a gun for his empire symbol, taking on aspects from the Assyrians and the Romans, pouring tech points into inventing mounted soldiers, taking cities, freeing them because he was stretching his empire too thin by trying to hold them, then ransacking them immediately to burn them to the ground. As he said at the beginning of the video, he intended to destroy humankind, and boy did he succeed. XD

C) And then, just as a fun little extra, I watched Petey Plays it and “8 Things You Didn't Know About Vampires In The Sims 4” as it was in my Recommendeds. Some of this was stuff I knew – vampires don’t have reflections, vampire ghosts can still use their vampire powers and thus are a rare hybrid occult in Sims 4 – but others I didn’t, like “vampires with the full ‘Control Emotions’ power can create emotions so powerful in nearby Sims they can cause the emotional deaths” and “vampires who drink from possessed Sims in StrangerVille will actually end up possessed themselves for a while.” That’s neat! And it was good to see some stuff I knew about but had never seen in action, like the Sunlight Reversal Cocktail. Good times!

4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: Check – started out by finishing up my Song Saturday post (which covers my Fallout of Darkness playlist on Spotify) before supper today, yay! And then Valice Multiverse had one ask reply, and one reblog from a friend about a joke regarding a scene in one of my fanfics. Pretty light and easy, honestly!

Yeah, okay -- except for the rain this morning and the Humdity (tm) this afternoon, I'll call this a decent day. Now we just have to hope Henri the hurricane stays offshore when it goes by the coast this weekend. . . *grimace* At least we have two days to watch and prepare! Night all!
