crossover_chick: Doc snoozing on his couch (BTTF: exhausted)
Yeah, I'm in a pretty typical mood for my period -- rather tired, rather grumpy, weirdly hot at times. *sigh* But I did manage to get some shit done, so let's go over that now --

Work – Not a great day for someone on her period – exceptions to handle that had some weird stuff going on with them; printer troubles; somebody coming in with an unusual payment method. But I spotted something that needed to be double-checked on a big gift that just came in, so I guess that makes me feel a little better about things.

Beanbags – Also not a great day for someone on her period – got 2-3-2, while Dad got W-2-3 and Mom got 3-W-W. At least Mom’s back on a hot streak? :p

To-Do List

1. Get in a workout: Check – another day on the bike, another day closer to the end of Jon’s Original FO4 Playthrough! Though, technically, we’ve already ended it, in a sense – in that I finished the episode called “The End.” Miss Jon finished taking down the Boston Airport, and defended her synths from the remaining stragglers as the modified one uploaded its virus into Liberty Prime’s AI brain. It was mostly just ordinary Brotherhood members and a couple of vertibirds – Elder Maxson DID attempt to join the fight by leaping out of one of the ‘birds, but he did it so late in the game that Miss Jon didn’t have much of a chance to land any shots on him before Liberty Prime awoke and turned on the Prydwen, and she and her synths were teleported out. She did go back to investigate the burning wreckage for a corpse, but was never able to find one. . .though admittedly she couldn’t get too close to the actual burning bits. Game was very strict about that!

But yeah – with that, the Brotherhood was defeated, and Miss Jon returned to find her son’s condition having deteriorated to the point that everyone could tell this was the last goodbye. She and Father had a heartfelt farewell, the “you’ve officially achieved a faction ending” video played, and – that was pretty much that. Miss Jon had control of the Institute, and Past!Jon felt like that was a pretty fitting end for her.

Well, except for one last livestream of side quests! Because Past!Jon got very into taking care of the plot during the last few episodes and didn’t do much wandering around sidequesting. So I’m wrapping things up by watching Episode 35, the bonus “highlights video” of said livestream. So far, it’s been Miss Jon taking a trip into Vault 81, impressing the children there with a rather embellished story of fighting a Deathclaw and killing it with three bullets, wondering if the residents are vampires after Past!Jon found her giving blood for a reason he hadn’t been paying much attention to (the doctor just wants a blood sample for his research into how the Vault 81 dwellers differ from the Commonwealth residents), fetching little kitty Ashes for the price of Erin’s teddy bear, and psychically knowing about the secret vault behind the nice one because the game presumed she’d been there to listen to a conversation regarding Bobby Deluca finding it while hiding his drugs that had happened offscreen. Left it off there with her mowing down the Vault 81 lab mole rats and meeting Curie! Should finish this off tomorrow!

2. Edit some more on "Londerland Bloodlines": Check! Alice has checked in with the Voermans – but only found Jeannette, getting her makeup on for another night. And while she’s offered to hold onto Alice’s bag of ghostly items, Rabbit and Cheshire have been very clear that giving them to her would be an EXTREMELY bad idea. So now Alice is going to have to tap-dance around Jeannette’s whining regarding how Therese treats her. Good thing Alice has a way with words!

3. Keep up with YouTube Subscriptions: Check – two in, two out, plus a bonus –

A) No James Turner tonight, so instead I watched the latest from Atop The Fourth Wall – “DC Challenge #3!” You know, that ridiculous series where every issue has a different creative team, and everyone is basically doing their own thing while still trying to create a coherent story? Anyway, in this issue, a strange smoke monster helped an alien cosplaying as WC Fields to trap character Jon the Viking Prince into a lance, which was later used by Hawkman to kill the manticore previously threatening Congorilla and B’wana Beast, which transferred Jon into a fragment of the gem on its forehead, to be later released when Hawkman ended up on the planet Rann thanks to a “Zeta Beam” which is a very temporary teleport. Also Jonah Hex did NOT drive a car into a bunch of schoolchildren and instead just caused a minor pile-up, before being transported back to his own time so the Djinn could deliver the stone that transported him to Hawkman and Hawkgirl to lure Hawkman to where he would get hit by the Zeta Beam. Also Superman determined the symbol on the moon was that of hero Deadman, and discovered evidence of a fake top floor on the Daily Planet building where the aliens from issue #1 were having a meeting, and Batman discovered the numbers he found in issue #2 could mean the end of the world! Also Aquaman drank a vulture’s blood to survive in the Sahara desert. ...Go ahead, tell me I’m making any of that up. I’ll show you the episode! DC Hot Mess should have been the title.

B) After that it was over to the actual Subs to watch Call Me Kevin play Fallout 4! As a pacifist! No, seriously, Kevin decided his character – a portly, balding ginger called “Dad” with maxed Charisma and Agility and a bit of Endurance – was not going to be killing anyone or anything, at least directly (taking companions who could kill was another story). This led to such fun adventures as dying to the cockroaches in Vault 111 (he eventually figured out how to trap them in other room so he could wait out the hostility and get the Pip-Boy); triggering the raider fight in Concord and having to run away after entering the Museum of Freedom, only to discover that he had to kill the raiders inside to progress that quest; stumbling across the Drumlin Diner stand-off and using his incredible Charisma to mug Wolfgang and his crony and force them to leave (and then steal from Trudy because he felt she was selling stimpacks for too much); stumbling his way to Diamond City where he kept triggering fights by stealing in plain sight looking for medical supplies – and then taking a non-canon trip to the schoolhouse where he launched a grenade into the desks because back in Fallout 3 he shot a missile into a similar schoolhouse and couldn’t resist the reference; taking on Piper as his companion and buying her a nice shotgun before taking her back to the Museum of Freedom to kill the raiders for him; and then taking the power armor, wandering around while Preston and Piper took out the remaining raiders, and then getting chased into a nearby abandoned shop by the Deathclaw when the power armor ran out of juice. So cowering in there away from the furious murder-lizard is his life now! Feels right. XD

C) And then we had GrayStillPlays and Troll Robber: Steal It Your Way, another one of his weirdass mobile games. This one tasks you with robbing (or, occasionally, saving) people using your long stretchy arm to maneuver around the obstacles in your path. Failing generally leads to ludicrous amounts of pain and suffering, either from the wildlife or the people you are wronging. You start out small by dodging traffic to steal luggage, and slowly progress to stealing the outboard motor off a boat and leaving the old owner to the sharks; saving your girlfriend from the tag-team efforts of an evil snake and a judgmental eagle; stealing the gun of a guy trying to execute someone else and leading to him getting ninja-kicked in the face by the police; stealing the chain of a vicious dog so he’ll attack anyone other than you; stuffing a sausage down the pants of the vicious dog’s owner so he’ll suffer mighty groin injuries; and stealing the top off a DJing woman to force her to expose her bra to the world. All with encouraging messages from Google Translate! Gray, I sincerely hope you aren’t paying money for any of these games. XD

4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: Check – all text for the Wednesday three-post update for Newcrest Adventures done! So that can just go straight into the queue tomorrow, yay~

And that's about it -- just finished catching up on tumblr tags, so it's time to head to bed and get some sleep. Three more days to go this week -- and in September entirely! Weird. . .I will talk more about any potential plans I have for spoopy season once I'm feeling a little less like my brain is made of swiss cheese. *nods* Night all!
