Sims, Sims, Wonderful Sims
Jul. 9th, 2005 11:35 pmI think it's safe to say that I've grown to love Kid!Gypsy. She's just so CUTE! And it helps that she has a stuck smartmilk effect, so she learns skills like no one's business.
-D: *grin* That's my Gypsy.-
Yes indeed. I ended up playing her today through the weekend:

Everyone woke up rather early, and Marie made everyone toaster pastries.

Gypsy did some more skill studying (I've already gotten everything except Body up to four, and that's simply because I don't have any body-building objects on hand), then played with her doll house while Marie got "morning sickness."

Marie called her friend Trista to chat, while Gypsy met little Scot.

She and Scot got along quite well, eventually befriending each other over a game of chess.

Meanwhile, Daniel worked on his cooking skill and on keeping the house tidy. He's such a good house-husband. Marie went off to work, and returned with a promotion to Desk Sergeant. Once she got home, though, she started showing her pregnancy and was put on maternity leave.

Sunday morning, after a breakfast of cereal, Daniel checked the food supplies and saw they were getting low. I had him call up a cab after inviting the headmaster over. Daniel headed over to the local grocery and filled up the fridge with food. He also met Emily Von Braun, meaning that now I have a certain link for Doc to meet Gypsy at some point. :)
-D: Wonderful!-
Back at home, Gypsy baked a nice muffin:

Then engaged her mother in a game of chess and talk about the baby.

Everyone napped in preparation for the headmaster's arrival. Marie chatted up Elmer when he arrived while Daniel made (and burned) some pork chops. Despite this, Elmer was impressed by the Robinsons, and accepted Gypsy into private school.

Shortly after he left, Marie progressed into her third trimester.

I left everyone happily asleep. I also expanded Gypsy's room a little, to make way for the coming baby. Luckily it didn't cost too much -- Gypsy's family didn't get a motherlode boost when I played them, so they're my local "poor" family.
-M: That doesn't seem fair.-
They get along all right, don't worry. Helps add a little variety to my game, too.
I then proceeded to move in the McFlys. Here's their house (they got some help with motherlode):

-M: Not bad.-
Not at all. Everyone ended up gaining skill and relationship points with each other (they all had the wants for it). Lorraine and Linda made friends first:

Then Sarah Von Braun walked by, allowing me to establish another link between Emmett and Marty:

The proper welcome wagon consisted of Christopher Von Nostrand, Carrie Mathews, and Daniel Robinson (first time I haven't gotten a Sapson I think). They were content to stay outside and wreck their relationships with each other, although Daniel and David got on well. I of course had Marty concentrate on earning creativity, and started potty-training him. I also had Linda interact with him -- he started off with a mildly-negative relationship with her, and I didn't want that.

-M2: Eh, I dunno. I've never really been that close to my brother and sister.-
-VM: Me either, although I probably saw less of them -- Biff split us up when he sent us away. *sigh*-
*patpat* Anyway, although George intially wanted a career in the medical field, I gave him one in the Science field -- George just doesn't seem the Doctor type. Lorraine befriended Dave with a chat:
-M: GAHHH!-
-VuM: Who discusses that with their kids?!-
Well, you gotta give them the talk sometime. . . .
-M: *buries head in hands*-
There was some cuteness:
-J: Awwww-
I also moved in the Parkers, although I didn't do much except build their house (in various shades of blue) and fulfill a few wants. Something interesting I learned -- watch your Sims "buy" wants. I wracked up a bunch of points for the Parkers by checking out their wants every time I bought something they wanted. :) Robert did get to play with Jennifer:

-M: Hehehe, she's so cute.-
I know. :p
Tomorrow, the Von Braun/Handlen household! And maybe some Morte or Patrickson. Right now, sleep.
-D: What about writing?-
-VD: You're slipping.-
Not really, I worked some on getting "The Doc Hunter" up, and I wrote some on "Teen Doc."
-OD: How about fanart?-
Blame this song Ael sent me, but I kinda want to do a JediDoc.
-OD: *him and tentacles* O.o-
