crossover_chick: Doc snoozing on his couch (BTTF: exhausted)
[personal profile] crossover_chick
It was a long and tiring one, I'm sad to say -- not helped by the fact that I didn't get a great night's sleep last night. *rubs eyes* Hopefully tonight will be better...anyway, here's the daily write-up --

Work – Whoof – busy start to the week today, with an extra-long GL (with bonus problems with one of the reports that I had to work around); multiple calls interrupting me (mostly credit card, though there was one lady trying to figure out her mailings that took a while to resolve); a late lunch (because of said extra-long GL and interruptions); and a bonus project that I didn’t get a start on until late but which has already revealed a couple of problems that need fixing. *sigh* At least I took Friday off, so I only have three more days...still, really hoping tomorrow is better!

To-Do List

1. Get in a workout: Check – another night on the bike, another night with sticking with “We're having a town banquet in Tiny Town Challenge! - Part 19” by James Turner! Pablo’s Grand Finale episode continues apace, with –

A) Pablo spending a day doing yard sales to sell all of his Sulani treasures, which netted him almost 30K in cash and allowed James to expand the vault with a separate apartment across the hall for Kyra (once she grows up, of course), and a tunnel into the town center’s basement (which had to be finagled in some interesting ways because James discovered that it doesn’t matter how deep you go, you can’t build under fountains). So the vault’s structure is now officially completed – now all Pablo has to do is find enough treasure to sell to furnish it! (Ironically, the day he did all that selling just so happened to feature The Lottery as a pop-up holiday – James of course had him enter, but this time there was no surprise lucky win, aww. Oh, and it was only after he finished expanding the structure and took a look at the lot from the outside while traveling that James realized that rent in this game is calculated at $1 per floor tile. He’s been playing with For Rent for how long? XD)

B) Pablo spending some time with Pecan, taking him out to Chestnut Ridge to train up his agility on the barrels before going into an Expert Barrel-Racing competition. The pair got the silver medal, which is nice – I know Pablo’s basically moved on from horse-riding to treasure collecting to earn his fortune, but it is good to see him doing stuff with Pecan still. The horse is an important part of the family, after all!

C) Harvestfest coming around and James getting annoyed and deleting the holiday to prevent Scarlett’s gnome collection from moving around and making trouble for Pablo (which – I don’t think it would have, since the game seemed to have spawned in new gnomes specifically for the new lot)...and then being like “actually, doing a big grand meal with all the family would have been fun” and deciding to repurpose the “activity” room upstairs into a banquet hall so everybody could dine together, taking some money out of the community vault to built a storage room to keep all the other stuff in there – Krystoff’s spare easel, Camillo’s bamboo decorations, etc – safe. The place ended up looking pretty nice, with two long tables put end-to-end so there’d be enough room for everyone (which includes the main eight Tiny Towners, Rahul (Krystoff’s husband), Kyra, and Patchy), flowery wallpaper, some nice lights, and a banquet table to store all the food. I left off with Pablo, fresh from an unfortunately-rather-unsuccessful treasure-diving session (he’s TWO items away from completing the “Sulani Treasures” collection – I hope he manages it!), having just finished cooking a tofurkey to make sure vegetarian Scarlett could join in the festivities without compromising her traits – tomorrow, we see how James handles scheduling the event! He’s already remembered that he can do it from the calendar, which is good – that doesn’t always click in his head, I’ve found!

2. Continue working on “Londerland Bloodlines: Downtown Queensland”: Check – the boss fight between Alice and Bishop Vick started today, and Alice was extremely annoyed to discover that Vick ALSO has access to that super-speed power that she covets so desperately. Along with a shotgun. Fortunately, she’s only taken a few pellets to the leg so far, and even managed to straight-up skewer him with her knife-on-a-plank when he tried to rush her with said super-speed. Unfortunately, she didn’t get him in the heart, and she had to abandon her attempts to work her way up there when the zombies in the room nearly got a chunk out of her. However, she’s still got Dementation up her sleeve, and when I left off, she’d just managed to distract Vick with an image of Carpenter...and when he tried to fire on her anyway, he discovered his gun was empty. Seems like Alice will be getting in some free shots at the beginning of the next chunk – but the battle is far from over yet...

3. Keep up with YouTube Subs: Check – just GrayStillPlays today, with “Beating GTA 5 the way Rockstar intended!” A trio of challenges based around “classic” Grand Theft Auto missions, with Gray:

I. having to steal a bunch of “herbs” from a rival gang in 42 seconds with Trevor and Lamarr on a course filled with both loads of people trying to kill them and loads of chest-high walls trying to kill them (Gray had to get real good with the grenade launcher gun to get to the end – and also find ways to cheat the board to avoid doing things like a tightrope off the side)

II. having to help Michael and Trevor escape a bank robbery as Franklin by running from pretty much every cop in the game and getting their car to the custom garage so it could repainted (Gray had a little trouble at first, but soon was cruising at high speed down the road and doing epic stunts on makeshift ramps in the world – also, he genuinely had to repaint the car, and of course made it hot pink)

III. having to help Tracey eliminate her competition on “Fame Or Shame” as Michael by driving her to the filming location in time, running over every girl with an arrow above her head along the way – which occasionally involved doing a wall ride or an epic jump off a dumpster (Gray mastered the wall ride eventually, but had to abandon the dumpster jump for just going up the side of the bridge the woman was on instead)

Yeah, it was, ah, all pretty chaotic, as you can see. XD But fun – it’s nice to get some more varied challenges than all the “testing different cars” ones! Even if Gray finds these even more insufferable than the usual. XD Your pain is our gain, Gray!

4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: Check – sorted out the rest of the image alt text on my second “Polyheart OT3 House” post for Wednesday over on Victor Luvs Alice tonight! Admittedly, I’m not sure how GOOD the image alt text is (it’s always hard to figure out how much description to put into them), but it’s there, and I can take another look at it and tweak it tomorrow while getting everything properly queued up for the week if I want. Hooray!

*nods* Yeah, you can see why I'm tired. :p And thus, now it is time for me to head to bed. Night all!
