crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (Default)

September 7th, 1885: Marty awakens back at the camp to discover that Doc has left. He promptly rides off to find him. Buford Tannen wakens his gang with kicks, eager to go and face down "Eastwood." A heartbroken Clara decides to leave Hill Valley and purchases a one-way ticket to Sacremento -- on the very train Doc and Marty had planned to hijack. Meanwhile, Doc is still at the bar, blabbing all sorts of secrets about the future, much to the amusement of the regular customers. Marty tracks him down and convinces him he has to come back to the future. The regulars offer Doc a parting toast, which Doc joins --
And then we learn quite dramatically that Doc cannot hold liquor AT ALL, as he falls flat on his face, completely out of it. A stunned Marty ("Just the ONE?") promptly orders black coffee to try and get Doc sober.
Chester tells Marty that he'll need something stronger than black coffee to sober Doc up, and he and his assistant Joey whip up some "wake-up juice." Chester says that "in about 10 minutes, he'll be as sober as a priest on Sunday." Of course, the time happens to be 7:50 -- Marty complains about cutting things so close. The potion sort of works -- Doc does wake up, but after dunking himself in the horse through, he passes out again. As Marty and Chester work on reviving Doc, Seamus appears in the bar, saying he felt like he should come -- "as if my future had something to do with it."
Right on cue, Buford Tannen arrives and calls Marty out. Marty tries to argue that it's five minutes early, but Buford refuses to back down. Checking the photograph, Marty sees the name "Clint Eastwood" appear on the tombstone. Realizing that if he faces down Buford, he'll die, Marty tries to forfeit. Buford refuses and gives him to the count of 10 to come out. Most of the bar tells him he has to go out there, otherwise he'll be branded a coward. However, this time, Marty's taking Seamus's advice -- at the count of 10, he says he doesn't care what Buford or anyone else thinks about him. And again, right on cue, Doc pops up, conscious. He and Marty attempt a back-door exit, but Buford's gang spots them. Marty dives into a shack and escapes (knocking the door off a wood stove in the process), but Doc is captured.
Back on the train, Clara just happens to have the seat in front of the barbed wire salesman Doc was talking to earlier. The salesman is discussing Emmett's case of broken heart with a friend, and they mention the name Clara. Clara promptly takes notice and asks them if the man was "tall, with big brown puppy dog eyes and long silvery flowing hair?" The salesman confirms this ("You know him!") and Clara apparently comes to a revelation -- she still loves him and wants to be with him. She promptly stops the train and starts the long run back to Hill Valley.
Back in Hill Valley, Buford tells Marty that unless he comes out and faces him in one minute, he'll shoot Doc. Doc encourages Marty to save himself, but Marty's having none of that, as we all know. Marty appears after the minute is up. He and Buford prepare to duel, Buford's gang dragging Doc to the side. However, when Buford says "Draw," Marty replies "No" and takes off the gunbelt! "I thought we could settle this like men."
"You thought wrong, dude." Buford brings Marty down with one shot to the chest. For a moment, it looks like it's all over. But as Buford approaches the body, he seems to sense that something's wrong. Before he can shoot again, Marty comes back to life and kicks the gun out of his hand. Buford tries punching him, but ends up smashing his hand -- Marty had used a real Clint Eastwood movie as inspiration and tied the stove door under his sarape as a "bullet-proof vest." He soundly defeats Buford in a fist fight, finally sending him into a wagonful of manure. Even better, the fight smashed the tombstone that was Marty and/or Doc's -- the picture is now blank. Hearing the train whistle, Doc and Marty go to cut it off at Coyote Pass -- Marty giving Seamus the gunbelt to sell or trade as a final farewell gesture. The boys manage to catch up to the locomotive and successfully hijack it. "Is this a hold-up?" "It's a science experiment!"
Clara, in the meantime, has finally made it back to Hill Valley and runs into Doc's blacksmith shop, hoping to find him. Instead, she finds his detailed model -- including the little "time machine" car. She apparently realizes he was telling the truth and what must be going on, as she grabs a horse and takes off in pursuit.
Doc and Marty successfully bring the locomotive up to the DeLorean. Doc shows off his homemade Presto-Logs, that will allow the train to get up to 88 miles per hour, igniting sequentially -- green, yellow, red. Marty hops in the DeLorean, Doc boards the locomotive, and they start with their plan. Unbeknownst to them, Clara has finally managed to catch up. She grabs the wood car ladder just as the green log blows, sending the DeLorean up to 35 miles per hour.
Doc begins the long climb to the DeLorean at this point, while Clara desperately tries to get his attention. The yellow log blows, but both Clara and Doc manage to avoid injury. Doc is almost to the car when --
WHOOT! WHOOT!
Doc finally spots Clara, who tells him she loves him. Marty is informed of the situation just as they pass the windmill. Doc climbs back to help Clara off the locomotive and onto the DeLorean -- it's now or never time, so she has to come with. Unfortunately, just as it looks like they'll make it --
BOOM!
The red log explodes, sending the boiler pressure skyrocketing. Worse, both Doc and Clara lose their footing -- Doc clinging to the side of the train, Clara dangling upside-down by her dress. And with the DeLorean gaining more speed every second, there's little hope that Marty can help them.
Unless, of course, he still has his hoverboard on him. After a close call with a sign, Marty is able to fly the hoverboard over to Doc. Doc manages to slip his foot into the strap and save Clara, and the happy couple fly off. Marty is sent back to the future, and the locomotive does indeed make a spectacular wreck.
End of the 1885 era of the Backieverse, technically. Of course, we all know that Clara and Doc marry and make some kids and a train time machine and at the very least visit Marty back in 1985. From there, it remains to be seen.

Holy crap, that was long. Stupid climaxes. Anyway, I did play Hill Valley Sims today since it is the last day of 1885 week -- McFlys and Browns.

It was Friday for the McFlys, the one day that everyone beside George either had school or worked. I found out something interesting -- apparently Starters in the Athletic career track go to work on busses. For a moment I thought I had a glitch with the school bus -- then the actual bus pulled up and I got a pic.

George hung out by himself, working on his creativity and selling a painting for 200-odd simoleons. Linda also got a chance card about a band to pick out for the record store -- the Naughty Llamas or the Reticulated Splines. Unfortunately, I chose wrong with the Splines and cost her a Charisma point. No promotions for anyone today. George did best friend Jennifer over the phone, though.

Marty also called Seamus and Joey and made some friendships there -- his current goal is 10 best friends. Dave and Linda skilled for their jobs with some thinking caps -- here's the lightbulby pair:

While George and Lorraine got all lovey-dovey. Fairly quiet day in their lives, not counting the toilet getting clogged.
Life for the Browns, however, was much busier. First off, when they woke up, I suddenly noticed that the downstairs shower had sprung a leak and had basically flooded the bathroom. Luckily Doc was able to take care of it.

I also used the hacked clock I have to change both Clara and Doc's Lifetime Wants to Max 7 Skills -- both of them wanted to become Criminal Masterminds. O.o
-OD: *tentacles grumble*-
Anyway, Jules and Verne went off to school, leaving the adults to work on skill and take care of Martina.

Clara also managed a brief call to Seamus before having to change Martina's diaper (Doc's got a fear of it, *giggle*) Clara also took a vacation day so Doc could get to work and ended up having to fix a clogged toilet. Once the boys were home, everyone was funned and all that, I had Doc invite Marty over, bought a birthday cake, and grew up Martina.

-M: Hey, she's cute!-
-M2: Ears look kinda big, though.-
I noticed that too. O.o She is adorable, though -- a Libra, with 2 Sloppy, 9 Outgoing, 5 Active, 7 Playful, and 7 Nice. Probably my best kid personality to date.
After Doc refreshed his friendship with Marty and everyone had cake, everyone went to bed -- but not after I decided once and for all to remodel the house. I eliminated the outside garage, extended the foundation of the house, and added on Martina's room and Doc's "secret lab." Now there's finally room for everybody. (Top floor didn't change -- Jules and Verne are okay up there, really.)

Much happier with this new house. :D
-TD: Any place with a secret lab is okay in my book.-

Bed now. Tired. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
