A) Wallace's latest inventions are great! I love all the Rube Goldbergian detail they put into it. :D
B) The bunny menaces are freaking adorable. Especially when they wave. And they wave a lot.
C) There is a transformation scene -- a couple of them in fact. I wasn't expecting one, so it was a nice surprise.
D) Victor Quartermaine is a terrible bastard, as is his dog. Great villian, and I look forward to voice actor Ralph Fiennes doing Voldemort.
E) There's lots of little jokes in the movie you need to watch out for -- here's an example. At the beginning breakfast scene, look on the table as Gromit pulls the first "dump" lever. There's a jar on there called "Middle-Aged Spread." Appropriate, as the movie starts off with Wallace's weight problem.
F) This is my silly side speaking -- Lady Tottington meeting Wendoline Ramsbottom. What would happen? (I wonder if "Totty" likes cheese?)
G) Speaking of which -- yes, this is a bit reminescent of "A Close Shave," but it's different enough to not feel like a retread.
Unfortunately, "Corpse Bride" was kicked off the roster just last week, so we'll have to see it at another theater. I'd really like to see it on the big screen if possible.
No Sims today due to time constraints, of course. I really wish someone else would comment on my "Marty Glitch" -- I could use the help.
-TD: :( I'd suggest a way to fix it, but my talents lie with past technology.-
I know sweetie, I know.
-D: Somebody did mention deleting Marty.-
I don't want to do that for fear of deleting Marty PERMANENTLY! And there's the chance he'd respawn like his bag does when I delete that. I'm just glad I got in another save after getting your chance card.
Here's the deal with Marty, from my
thesims2 post, in case anyone here has any idea how to fix it:
I play an ongoing story with this journal, about the life of a certain version of Dr. Emmett Brown from "Back To The Future" (he's technically known as "Emmett Von Braun" in the journal). I've recently thrown the guy a birthday bash (today is Chris Lloyd's birthday), and annoyingly enough, I appear to have developed a glitch with his lot. I had the two Sims living there (Doc and Holly) take naps during the day, then Doc had dinner and went to work while Holly invited some friends over -- her boyfriend John Morte and Count Jessie the Vampire. While Count Jessie was there, Doc and Holly's kid friend Marty McFly walked by.

I'm not sure, but it looks like the household was supposed to get the burglar, but somehow things glitched and I got Marty wandering around with the burglar sack -- and I could NOT get him to leave! Even weirder, the remote control car apparently made it onto the lot -- it was invisible at first, but the Holly played with it and it became visible. I tried deleting the sack, but Marty spawned a new one. I was afraid to try and delete Marty -- I didn't know if it would do anything to him back on his home lot. So instead I left without saving and tried again, this time having Holly only invite over John and then head inside to do yoga. Same thing. I exited without saving again (although this time I'd saved previously when they napped).
Anybody have any idea what I can do? I've got all the Sim expansions and the Nightlife patch, and my only downloads at the moment should be Victorian clothing from All About Style, Moose's Paintings of PinkTuxDoc and GothDoc, and the CEP color enabler (say, maybe the patch is incompatible? But I don't think any of the other houses have glitched. . . .). I don't want to have to move them out, even if they can really afford to -- they have a very lovely Gothic Cathedral house. I'm also getting a 6:00 one-chat phonecall from Jennifer, but I think that's a failed "ask out on another outing" call -- she's only a kid, so I don't think she can do that.
I've gotten a couple more pictures (I played the lot again just to make sure it was still there). Apparently Marty is leaving invisible stuff all over the yard, as he and Doc kept having to step over blank squares. (I thought this was the burglar stalk at first, but apparently not.)

The red burst from the burglar bag that you get with the regular burglar is also appearing, but in a far end of the lot.

Also, the newspaper girl, when she arrived, had to leave the paper at the end of the driveway instead of in it's usual spot. I can't click on Marty to interact with him, as he occasionally "jumps" from square to square -- his postion will change, and the action will automatically cancel. Also, he shows up early Friday morning, about an hour or so before Doc is to arrive home it appears.
Please, if you have any suggestions, I'd love to hear them. I really want the Von Brauns to host a Halloween Party, and I don't know if I can with this glitch messing things up! I am going to try and age-transition Marty before I play it again though, just to see what happens. (He's only one day away from growing up).
-M: I'd make a backup if I were you.-
Yeah, I probably should. Just in case something goes horribly wrong.
With that, it's back to writing on "Teen Doc."
-OD: How about some drawing?-
-VD2: And the
backtothefanfic challenge?-
Heh, too tired right now.
