A Quick Visit To Hill Valley
Dec. 16th, 2005 11:32 pmSince the last time I played, I only did building, this time, I only did a family. I decided to drop in on the Browns and see how they were. It was Thursday, and they were all doing pretty well. Jules learned how to make pancakes for everyone:

The boys went to school, leaving Doc and Clara to stay at home and take care of Martina. Martina actually got a lot of love in this particular session. Not only did she get the usual care from her mom and dad:

But I finally got her brothers in on the act too. I had to get her and Verne to interact, anyway -- she barely knew him. Being a nice little family Sim, he was only too happy to play with her and stuff.

Jules got some love too, though.

-D: *grin* Glad to see that all my kids are getting along.-
Well, I don't think toddlers really fuss with anyone. But yeah, I like for all family members to be friends. Doc and Clara had plenty of love for each other today as well. I have to say, I think the heart bubble with the "call me" expression is really funny. :p

-H: I love how Sims can have random pillow fights. There should be more of those.-
*snrrk* Doc also tried out his new Biotech Station -- unfortunately, the medicine he made had to be disposed of. :( Come on, he's at Nine Logic, he should be able to sell it if he wants!

-VD: *scowl* Yeah, really. Nine Logic should be good for something.-
I know. At least the kids are doing good. Jules brought home Ricky (although he spent his entire visit playing the boys' new bass) and managed to refriend and best-friend Orlando at the same time. Verne also may have just met his future bride on-line -- a cowgirl named Daisy.

-M: Gah, you have to be careful with those internet romances.-
Don't worry, Sims don't have that sort of duplictiousness (not without serious hacks, anyway). He's really talking to a girl.
Other than that, life has been normal -- Clara's learned how to make pork chops, the boys are all caught up on homework, and Verne is enjoying his new bass. Martina's doing well with her skills too -- she likes to earn Charisma and Creativity. Play to your strengths and all that.

-M: You don't seem quite as into these families.-
I need some over-reaching story to keep my interest, I think. That's why I love
revison_doc and Twin Oaks Park so much -- I'm telling stories. These guys I basically play just to play.
-VD2: No one says you have to play them.-
I do -- I created those neighborhoods to be played, and play them I shall. Besides, it's not like I HATE the families. Things should get more interesting once I send the teenagers to college. (On a related note, I must be one of the few people who LIKE Uni. I admit it's hard to play for Sims you don't care about, but I've loved most of my college families.)
Wrote my "Harry Potter" fic. Turned out what I had in mind were "flash-fics" (the name for short fanfics apparently), although I did try with making them drabbles. If that taught me anything, it is that I am verbose.
-MDC: Finally, some other fandom action!-
Hey, you get an equal part in "Boy Genius," you know. That's a crossover.
-MDC: TeenDoc hogs all the attention.-
-TD: I do not! You're just jealous because I have a better evil laugh.-
-MDC: *waves match threateningly*-
Stop it, both of you! Anyway, I'll probably be posting them sometime tomorrow, FF.net and site.
-OD: Don't forget, you're drawing SOMETHING tomorrow.-
Yeah, I know. I'll either try to do more on "Warsies Again" or start sketching "Happy Diverse Holidays." On the plus side, Christmas fic is finished.
-DW: *happily chows down on plot bunnies* So, what else have you got planned for short fics?-
Some Gil drabbles -- and actual drabbles this time, I mean it -- and some BTTF flash-fics probably. Maybe even one of those "20 Facts About" list things.
-OD: No details about our underwear, please!-
-VuM: Oh, please, don't mention underwear.-
Thank you so much for traumatizing my Martymuses,
foxywriter.
-M2: Like you haven't done that to ALL of us before.-
Careful, the Vault of Perversion is opening. . . .
-TD: I'm getting out of here and into some long johns before she has me sleep-inventing again.-
*pout* You're no fun.
