19 now! Nearly a full-and-proper adult!
-D: Yup. Looking forward to it?-
Not sure yet.
-VD: *laugh* We weren't either. Real life takes too much time away from experimenting.-
-TD: One of the advantages of living in a world ruled by Mad Science.-
:D I had a pretty nice birthday -- my boss got me a cake, like he'd gotten my other coworkers, and put my name up on the sign outside. Then at home I got to open my presents over lunch -- some more new clothes (sweater, socks, pants, socks with bats on them), the Back To The Future Part III soundtrack (on CD) and the Girl Genius comics I asked for. And later tonight my aunt, uncle, and cousins came over to wish me a happy birthday and to give me their present -- Borders gift card ($15 -- and I actually got another one with my Christmas present from them, the GOGGLES, so now I have $30 of free money) and the Girl Genius Wall calendar. A bit smaller than I thought, but still lovely. :)
-VD2: And you wrote on both "Dusky Past" AND "Boy Genius!" I'm impressed.-
Well, I wanted to catch up on what I missed yesterday -- three day holiday weekends make me lazy.
-OD: *tentacles squeaking pleadingly* Could you throw out a doodle or two as well?-
LoL, come on, it's my birthday. . . .
-OD: I know, but those comics must be giving you SOME drawing ideas.-
Good point. Maybe I'll practice vests and stuff.
-H: *carries in cake with "Happy 19th Vicky" written in purple icing* Here we are!-
*all sing "Happy Birthday" then divvy up cake, vampires blending frosting into blood bottles*
Mmmm, yummy.
-E: Holly and I cooked it. She's really good at cooking, I was impressed.-
-H: Well, brewing up potions is a bit similar. . .-
-M: Anyway, about your birthday present -- you guys can come on in!-
*enter Agatha, Gil, Klaus Wulfenbach, Zeetha, Krosp, and dingbots*
SQUEE! *pouncehuggle Agatha and Gil*
-Klaus: *lifts eyebrow*-
-DW: That's normal for her.-
-Klaus: O.o This is a scale for talking animals I haven't seen yet.-
-DW: Oh, I'm not a construct. I'm from an alternate reality where animals have human intelligence.-
-Krosp: Sounds wonderful.-
-Zeetha: *looking around* Any evildoers I can take care of?-
Not at the moment -- however, knowing my brain, Othar will be by any second, and since it's my birthday, I demand you let her have open season on him, Agatha.
-Agatha: *evilgrin* It is your birthday. . . .-
-Gil: Emmett, you were going to show us the lab?-
-TD: Right this way.-
-MDC: *bamfs in* Oooh, fresh meat.-
-Gil: O.o Now what's that?-
MiniDamosCrawler, my other fandoms muse and a bit --
*POUNCE!*
KROSP! Spit him out!
-DW: Score one for the Emperor of all Cats!-
-Krosp: (mouth full) I husd waned o see uf I culd catch im
Spit him out and try again.
-Krosp: *spits MDC out* I just wanted to see if I could catch him. Still got it.-
-MDC: *pouts* I can tell when I'm not wanted. *evilgrin* Makes me want to stick around more.-
-Gil: Hmmm. You know, Agatha, he might be useful for testing out some of those mimmoth traps we've constructed. Take a bit of the burden off Krosp.-
-MDC: Except when it involves more mad scientists. *bamf*-
I do believe you've scared him.
-D: We did NOT tell him to light that match near one of the gas mains!-
-VD: Or force him to do anything else in those labs! He VOLUNTEERED!-
I have no doubt of that. Hopefully it's taught him something.
-DW: Probably not -- just made him fearful. Which is good enough.-
You're so evil. . . .
Played some Sims today -- ended up playing the Clayton/Lloyd house. The girls had a nice quiet day -- the morning was spent getting everyone in the bathroom and raising a few relationships -- Josie/Clara in particular.

There was an interesting incident with the morning paper -- seems Mr. Big is still furious with Josie. He ran off with it as soon as it was delivered. The paperboy was outraged. :p Not me, though -- after getting jobs, my sims rarely do anything with the paper.

Clara and Mystie jammed as Gypsy studied -- the girls' leavings are rather staggered -- Josie leaves first, then Jennifer, then Gypsy and Mystie together. That meant Clara, with the only night job, alone for a good few hours. I had her work on a painting.

Jennifer got a chance card -- she won the spelling bee and got a Logic point. :D And Josephine managed to score a promotion to commander. She also brought home a work buddy, Gretchen -- I soon had them acting like proper friends.

Gypsy also came home with the memory of having earned 25,000 simoleons. :)

After some hamburgers courtesy of Mystie, the girls relaxed, then I had Josie invite Doc over. Doc proceeded to up his relationships with all his girls, joking with Clara, hugging Gypsy, sharing some gossip with Josie, and kissing Mystie.

Of course, there's still that interesting "the others are attractive too" -- Josie's a 2 bolter with Doc, and Doc still thinks Gypsy's hot. I gotta have all the girls check him out and see which of them get's the highest bolts.

-D: Probably be Clara, though I hope Gypsy will be in the running.-
-VD: *muttergrumble*-
Come on, you guys have some chemistry. Anyway, I finally caved to Mystie's want and bought a pinball machine -- she really likes the darned thing.

And after a long day, everyone went to bed except Clara and Gypsy -- Clara headed to work, and Gypsy earned another cleaning point before retiring. fingers crossed for a promotion!

Anyway, I had REALLY wanted to play the Browns and lead Doc on an outing with the girls, but something happened to their old lot. I don't know how, but apparently some portals weren't registering -- I could get the taxi and grocery van on the lot okay (that was part of a test I discovered) but the warning kept popping up. Not wanting to risk anything, the Browns have moved, and their former lot has been bulldozed. Considering that they're fairly wealthy, they didn't lose much -- just George's biotech station, and I barely touched the thing. (Plus I believe there's a cheat to make that buyable). I quite dig the new house, honestly.

-M: Hey, not bad.-
Thanks. And here's a shot of where you are now in the neighborhood -- you're actually closer to my other families now. This leaves the Clayton/Lloyds out in the cold for now, but once the college families move in, things should get better.

And now, I have some story to finish up, some comics to further thumb through, and perhaps a doodle or two to do. Not to mention watch the Docs and Agatha and Gil get up to amazing things in the labs.
-Othar: Hark evildoers! For it is I, Othar Trygva -- AAAH!-
-Zeetha: Oh, it remembers! I've still got those hammers!-
Actually, I think we need to watch this first.
-OD: Kids want to know if they should interfere?-
Only if Zeetha asks if you want in on the fun.
-VM: *watching Zeetha with her hammers* This SHOULD be interesting.-
-D: Yup. Looking forward to it?-
