Hmmmm, What To Do

Well, yeah, that's part of it. I'm also wondering how to close out the current written chapter of "Boy Genius."
-TD: Oh?-
You and Clara just kissed. Do I end it there, or do I have you guys talk?
-TD: You could end the chapter there, but start the next with us talking.-
True, but I don't know how it would go. I'm debating "awkward I'm-a-construct-you're-a-human" vs. "maybe-we-can-make-this-work"
-TD: Option Two! I like Option Two!-
-H: If I can make it work with a JAGER, he can make it work with Clara!-
Yes, I am leaning toward the second.
-TD: *beam*-
-OD: While you're stuck on typing, why don't you work on that drawing a bit more?-
Yeah -- need a pic of Marty holding a guitar. *hunts one down* Clock-Killer's arms are really bugging me.
-MF: Hey -- how is everyone going to know it's not me? Besides you saying it isn't, I mean?-
There's a few differences between you and Clock-Killer:
-->Different Face Fur -- Clock-Killer has a single big spike on his cheek, you have a few smaller ones
-->Different Clothing -- significantly, Clock-Killer wears shoes and, on occasion, a hat
-->Different Coloration (I think) -- this I'm not so sure on. You're a orangey color with a white belly and lower jaw. I think Clock-Killer is more brownish -- am I right,![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)

Onto the main point of this entry -- a trip to Strangetown. (There's an asshole on Dr. Phil I want to watch tomorrow, so that's why it's a day early) And why the trip? Why, to have my first post-OFB wedding! You are cordially invited to the nupitals of Henry Hardname and Adelaide Smyth-Jones. :)
The boys were up early -- Jim tried to calm Henry's nerves with a dirty joke, but it didn't go over well.
Jim did some relationship repairing, then the boys amused themselves earning skills.
I eventually bought them a wardrobe and had them change into their formal outfits before breakfast. Don't spill anything, boys.
And as the sun rose, it was time to set up the party and call the guests. Henrty doesn't have many friends at the moment, so the guest list was restricted to Adelaide, Ariana, and Gypsy. Jim also called Bella Goth over.
Immediately we start with my bane of weddings -- the toasting set. You see, I love having Sims do toasts at weddings. Everyone toasts the happy couple, and the happy couple obliges them with a kiss.
Except -- that it starts a NEVER-FREAKING-ENDING CYCLE. I have to CONSTANTLY cancel "Join In Toast" interactions, and guests keep lingering by the toasting set, waiting for people to come toast. Jesus! Anyone know of a non-autonomous toasting set?
But other than the toasting obsession, things went fairly well. Jim and Ariana became best friends, satisfying a major want for him.
And Henry got to know his girl friends a little better. Bella split early because she couldn't think to go to the bathroom.
Eventually, it was time for the wedding. There was a little trouble at first -- when Henry and Adelaide went to the arch, this passing idiot and the mailman tried to invite themselves to the wedding! I had to cancel the action and have Henry shoo them. WTF dudes?
-M: So random people can invite yourself to your wedding in Sims? Nice.-
Yeah, quite annoying. And Gypsy got stuck trying to toast, so she missed the ceremony. :(
The ceremony itself went well, though. Henry got all hearts-bubbly for Adelaide before declaring eternal love and all that mushy stuff.
And then to the actual ceremony, with Ariana and Jim in attendance.
Jim is very happy for his roommate.
Then it's time for a civilized cake cutting as J.C. arrives on the lot.
Over cake, Henry reminences over the date where he proposed to Adelaide, and Adelaide and Gypsy make best friends.
While Jim notes how hot Ariana is in that dress.
The party ends as a Roof Raiser. :D Jim heads off to work, while Adelaide and Henry go off on their honeymoon.
Interesting glitch -- Adelaide gets in the back, but it's the FRONT door that opens.
Hehe. J.C. jammed on her MP3 player, then cleaned up the dishes for her new adoptive family. Henry and Adelaide came back and acted all lovey-dovey around the mailbox.
I then spent some time rebuilding the house for four -- it works well enough now, I think.
Henry and J.C. got to know each other better as Adelaide knocked a few days off her life. Henry followed suit later.
Then it was time to skill! The girls worked on cooking, while Henry pulled odd things out of Adelaide's surgical dummy.
Jim came home with a promotion to Prep Cook. :) He took a bubble bath and then retired, utterly exhausted.
J.C. earned some more skills, then headed to bed as well. Henry and Adelaide stayed up a little longer. After all, it was their wedding night. ;)
Because I'm evil and slightly insane, I had them do "Try For Baby" instead of plain "Woohoo." Result? Yup, Adelaide's pregnant. *plans for a nursery*
-VD2: Can they afford that?-
They should -- I should be able to get one more promotion for Adelaide before maternity leave, and Henry will keep working.
-VM: You know that, now, they're going to have twins.-
Ack, no! I fear twins now.
-H: *snork*-
Well, they can be right little buggers as toddlers.
And now, I should go to bed. Night everyone.
