crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (In a sarcastic mood)

Things that have happened as of last night:
-->Get off the earliest I've got off in a while now, leaving me with not much to do. I did some more TeenDoc tweaking for hoverboards and watching the lightning outside.
-->Decided to go downstairs to do the bathroom thing -- only to discover as I'm sitting on the john this HUGE, bulky spider on the side of the sink. This thing was BIG, kinda like one of those fake rubber spiders you can get to scare people. I have a minor freak-out and "hide" in the bathtub until I get up the courage to step over the toilet and make it to the door. As I am not getting anywhere NEAR that thing (and thank GOD it didn't move, or I'd still be down there), I go to bed having not brushed my teeth or gone to the bathroom. (Luckily I was able to hold it until this morning, when the spider was gone -- presumably killed by a parent.)
-->Thanks to the thunderstorms, I was forced to shut my windows. Result -- too hot to sleep for a while. *grumble*
-->This also means I was awake for a brief power outage. I reset my clock according to my watch and think that all is well, finally drifting off to sleep. . . .
-->Only to be awoken by my parents, telling me that it's quarter past 8. I panic and rush through my morning routine. But something's nagging at me. I check my watches -- they say 7:40 when I finally get dressed and all that. Suspicious, I check on the TV.
7:40. My parents couldn't even bother to verify this. At least I got all my writing on "Boy Genius" done -- and was able to hop on here for a short while and finish the latest drabbles88 prompt. (I'll post that later tonight.)
-->And of course, I have an annoyingly hot workday. I thought it was supposed to be COOLER today!
-VD: . . . Life sucks and then you die?-
Yeah, basically. Don't worry, I'm looking over your stuff right now -- made some of the smaller edits and wondering how to incoporate some of the bigger ones.
-M2: *hugs* Thanks.-
-VD: *hugs* We appreciate it. A lot.-
I know. Thanks for sticking with me throughout all the procrastination and shit.
-VD2: How about anything else?-
Finishing up the end of "Misery Journey." Also might start my "Mad Scientist Legacy" challenge, based on the "Royal Kingdom Legacy" challenge I linked to yesterday.

Strangetown day! We visit the newly combined Hardname/Smyth-Jones family. Woken early on Friday morning from the patch, I had them engage in a little conversation.

Adelaide promptly had to go hurl, the poor thing. This day of pregnancy was pretty hard on her -- she kept throwing up.

Jim and J.C. started pillow-fighting as Adelaide recovered and Henry cleaned the toilet. I was worried J.C. would reject him (they had a bad conversation) but apparently relationship was just high enough.

Then it was time for breakfast. Toaster pastries all around! Remind me to buy this poor family a stove.

Adelaide threw up again right after breakfast, so I let her have a nice soak in the tub as Jim and J.C. went off to work and school. Henry did the dishes, choosing to do them in the bathroom instead of using the perfectly-good kitchen sink. O.o

He also managed to get a quick chat in with J.C. before she left -- she, Jim, and Henry all have wants to become friends, how sweet. :)

Adelaide busied herself throwing up again while Henry worked with the Medical reward. The latest horror to pull out of the dummy Sim? A toy horse. :D

Adelaide left for work at 9, leaving Henry to do some cleaning, then nap in preparation for his night shift. J.C. came home and played bass while he slept.

Henry woke up in time for Jim to arrive home and draw himself a bubble bath. Henry grabbed lunch while J.C. did homework.

After Adelaide came home and was sick again (psychically this time -- although she couldn’t get into the bathroom due to Jim’s bath, she still managed to mess up the toilet), there was a bit more relationship building. Henry and J.C. discussed our additions to each other’s families while Jim called up Bella Goth and finally made best friends. w00t Jim!

I find it mildly disturbing that Jim and J.C. were best able to discuss pretty dresses.

Kicky-bag solved the “let’s be friends” problem. :)

J.C. used the bathroom while Jim had a dinner of chef salad. Or, at least, he tried to have dinner. That lettuce comfy, Jim?

Uh, J.C., I don’t think he can hear you. . . .

And now J.C. succumbs to her own low energy score. I really thought they had enough to eat.

I wake Jim up so he can try to finish his meal. And looks like he was paying attention after all.

Everybody hops into bed eventually, and we got to fast-motion until shortly before Henry comes home. Adelaide gets up and does a bit of cleaning and such before greeting her husband with a kiss.

And then, just before the end of another bath -- pop!

Don’t you just love her face? “Mine is an EVIL pregnancy!”
And it really is -- not only is the tub broke, she has to throw up ONE LAST TIME.

Luckily, Adelaide quickly fixes the tub, and Henry mops up the messes before heading to bed. Adelaide paints instead, not being tired. Here I went into build mode -- with a little one on the way, I thought I should add a nursery. Here it is so far, keeping with the green theme of the house.

I also decided it was about time these poor shmucks got wallpaper. Here’s the inside stuff.

And the new outside shingling, along with their new car (gotten mostly for Fortune Adelaide -- hey, after that first daymester, she deserves it). Let’s just say Jim picked the paint job. :) (Though, honestly, once they get more cash, I should add more driveway and look for a driveable cab for Jim.)

A quick save, and they’re set for now.

-D: Odd to see you update with this on a Wednesday.-
I know -- I've got a [livejournal.com profile] revison_doc update in the pipeline. I also have something I want to show you boys.
-D: Oh?-
Scroll Down To The Bottom
-Docs: *see Clock Shirt* O.O-
-TD: Want.-
You got it. :D

It's a little odd to see Twin Oaks Park's Emmett Von Braun in modern clothing, but I had to get him that shirt to wear, if only for a little while.
-M: *grin* Oh yeah, that is just CLASSIC Doc.-
I know! He'll wander about like that for a play session or two, then after the next time I play him, I'll switch him back to Victorian wear. Every so often, I'll have him break out the modern duds again.
-TD: Why DO you like him in the Victorian wear? I can see if it was a Victorian-themed neighborhood. . . .
-DW: Well, it is in a way -- if they wear Victoriana, they're generally pretty important to the main plot. You'll notice Gypsy's donned a Victorian gown.-
Yeah, I can't wait to get her in that formal I picked out for her. And most of Emmett's closest friends will have a Victorian outfit they'll wear every so often. I think I'll organize parties in which you have to come in a certain outfit. Julia would be good for that.
-VD2: Sort of like your Halloween costume party?-
Exactly! *makes plans*
Okay, off to write some more and update <lj user="revison_doc" with the latest.
