Yes, I Did It
Jul. 25th, 2006 10:04 pm-D: Did what?-

Meet Emmett L Brown, the new Doc clone in Strangetown.
-VD2: O.O! That's me?-
Sort of -- I haven't found the right scar make-up yet, nor my favored black coat. But the basic template has been made, and he's met Clara Clayton. Soon enough, both Josie AND Mystie will be enjoying a Doc.
-VD+VD2: *high-five*-
Yeah, I thought you'd like that. My original intention was to move Emmett L in with Doc Emmett and his McFly friends, but I somehow ended playing them through the whole Friday. ^^; Ah well, lots of funny pics of Doc meeting himself.
We start things off with an early morning just-arrived conversation.
"The weather is a lot different in Hell Valley. The snow comes down black."
"You have snow? Amazing."
"What, the people here don't?"
"It is the desert. . . ."

As you can see, the Docs do look different. Emmett L has a smaller, less hooked nose -- I was trying to do it from pictures of Doc again. He looks okay, but I don't think anyone comes near my Twin Oaks Park Emmett.
-D: Favorites again. . . .-
They're Sims, I'm allowed to play favorites with THEM. Anyway, while the Docs got to know each other, Lorraine earned 100,000 cumulative simoleons with a bountiful money tree harvest.

Would you believe the Docs managed to clog BOTH toilets?! Doc Emmett sorted his out pretty well, then gave Emmett L a hand. I need to get this poor guy some skills.

However, Emmett L is earning his keep -- he immediately found a cushy science job. He needed a Logic point to get promoted -- off to the telescope! You can see Lorraine and Eileen playing chess and George having some breakfast in the background.

Morning brings George out to talk to Emmett -- they apparently don't agree on sports. Meanwhile, Lorraine's brought up an interesting topic of conversation with Eileen. I swear, everyone just wants to talk about woohoo.

Doc makes breakfast for everyone except George -- nectarine tartlettes. Emmett L happily enjoy his warm welcome. I think he'll like it here in Strangetown.

He and Doc Emmett enjoy a laugh, then make friends over the chessboard.

With them occupied and Eileen at school (and winning the Science Fair for a Mechanical point), George and Lorraine are free to indulge in a little affection.

The chess game eventually ends -- Doc turns his attention back to earning his Silver Robotery badge, while Emmett studies Mechanical. Lorraine takes the opportunity to work out a bit.

Eileen arrives home, homework and a boy named Talin in tow. To my joy, she has lightning bolts marking a few of the possible interactions. She gets him out of the hot tub and chats him up.

Yup, this boy is sexy -- two lighting bolts!

After using the bathroom, she engages Talin in a few dirty jokes, making friends. Lorraine stops her workout to watch, getting fit in the process.

While all this was going on, Emmett L earned two Mechanical points and Doc Emmett finished a Hydrobot. On to the next adventures -- Emmett takes a bathroom break while Doc moves onto a Cleanbot.

I send Talin off just as Clara Clayton walks by. Since Emmett will eventually become the Doc for Josie, I send him out to greet her and get a foot in the door. They get along reasonably well. "No, I'm not his twin, and I didn't get her by plane -- I'm from a now-defunct timeline."

He also considers her pretty smoking hot -- two lightning bolts. Lorraine rates a one, just so you all know.
-VD2: *sigh*-

Needs start to catch up with everyone. Lorraine has to be sent to bed after her workout, and Doc follows close behind after getting halfway through the Cleanbot. The rest just take it easy for the most part, waiting for night.

Nightfall finds Emmett back at the telescope, earning his third logic point and finally getting into the gold.

Eventually though, even he succumbs to exhaustion. However, at the time the others are going to bed, Lorraine and Doc are getting up again. Doc goes in for a nice shower while Lorraine paints.

That's where I stopped. But before I saved, I decided to do a bit of a lot upgrade. Three of my Sims had "go swimming" wants today -- so I built them a nice pool. Hey, they can afford it. I even put in a bit of diagonal pool, so it's shaped a bit like a crown. Nice, huh?

-OD: Very nice. I'm glad your cloning project worked so well.-
Me too. And this means that, if I do end up doing Emma Heterobach in a neighborhood, I can either skip making BTTF characters altogether (*waits for the hysterical laughter*) or do them exactly the way I want them.
-VD: Fair enough. Now all the Doc's Girls are equally represented.-
-VD2: I suppose you still plan on having one of us bit by a vampire.-
Much as my computer hates them, I'll send the girls out on a community lot trawl next week, see if I can pick up a Count or Countess. At least Mystie and Josie should be vampires. :)
Writing-wise, I scored a home run in the actual handwritten part -- full page of "Past Amnesia," half-page of "Boy Genius." On the typing -- my afternoon was mostly taken up doing some refining to the Mad Scientist Legacy.
-DW: How's that coming?-
I've got the basic rules down, along with expansion-specific rules. I'll have to alter both this and the Freak House Challenge once Pets comes out, but that's not a problem.
-TD: You seem to be looking forward to Pets.-
You're surprised?
-TD: *shrug* You said that you disliked Unleashed.-
Sort of -- the pets in Unleashed were maddening. You couldn't control them except for the most basic directional commands. And I seemed to get almost all the mean pets -- the old Magic House's cat was a bitch. But I LOVED the gardening. I really hope Pets manages to introduce even a little gardening.
-D: Don't you think Emmett Von Braun has ENOUGH to do?-
Never! Never, I say!
-OD: *tentacles squeak* We're still interested in learning how you plan to both run DocBots and keep Emmett in the Time Travel career.-
Well, the thing is, he's currently at level 6 in Time Travel, and he has maxed skills and a Permaplat mood. He should be promoted rapidly to the top tier, and then I can see about running DocBots around his final schedule.
-M: Can't you just look it up?-
SuperFly likes to have the last level be a mystery. It's that way with his -- apparently STILL broken -- Time Travel Major.
-M2: Bit unfair. . . .-
I'll live. But he'll be getting more responsibility in Pets anyway. I want him to have Einstein as well as Hill Valley Doc. And Gypsy will be adopting her cat Sigmund. I really hope pets can do more in this pack. . . .
-VD: *carefully pats me on back* We'll see.-
LoL, it's okay -- I'm only burned at the top.
-VD: Oh. How's that doing, anyway?-
Eh. I'll be happy when it turns tan, but it doesn't hurt like it could.
-VD2: Good.-
Oh, and on a "Look Who's Ba-ack" note. . . .
Hoverboards Redux!
Moonlady apparently can even make fanart off of my FANART. After Marty got over his shock, he and TeenDoc do some friendly hoverboarding together.
-TD: At least we're clothed.-
Don't worry, I doubt she'd ever do a picture like THAT. Ewies. But yay for more fanart. :) And for adorable TeenDoc.
-D: *rolls eyes*-
Have you ever thought about the fact that me gushing over TeenDoc takes a hell of a lot of pressure off you?
-D: . . . *evilgrin*-
-TD: Oh, wonderful.-
