crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (exhausted)
[personal profile] crossover_chick
Doc returns from his night with Clara high on life. Marty, on the other hand, is eager to get out of town and enjoying playing the part of the gunslinger. After spotting what will become Doc's tombstone, they consult the picture -- Doc's name has vanished, but the date still remains. Doc, concerned about Marty, warns him that the tombstone may have become HIS future. After a short argument, Doc accidentally lets slip about Marty's future auto accident, then realizes that he's got a problem with Clara being from 1885. So that night, while setting up the DeLorean, Doc makes the decision to remain the past. Marty, upset, talks him out of it -- and, for once in the trilogy, displays more time travel sense than Doc by suggesting they take Clara with them. Doc apparently can't see the difference between a Sports Almanac and the woman he loves--
-OD: Hey!-
It's true! -- and rejects the notion. However, he can't resist saying goodbye. The goodbye goes awry when he's forced to tell Clara the truth, and she doesn't believe him. After a very painful breakup (literally, Clara slaps him pretty hard), Doc goes to drown his troubles at the local saloon, and ends up telling the patrons all about the future over a shot of whiskey.
-VuM: Poor Doc.-
-OD: *tentacles chatter* Not really -- things go differently in our world, don't they?-
They sort of have to -- TrilogyDoc doesn't have four superstrong tentacles welded to his back. And Clara isn't host to an alien symbiote. So yes, the conflict does morph somewhat.
-VD: Is it more akin to what happens in "Back To The Future Part III 1/2?"-
Sort of. . . . I don't want to give too much away, given that I'm still working on the beginning of "The Gift and the Curse."
-OD: *tentacles nodnod* Yes, fair enough. We're just curious.-
Heh, yeah, I know. All shall be revealed in time, don't worry.
. . . In fact, it would be revealed to you lot a bit sooner if I could remind myself to get organizing. *pokes self*
-D: *also pokes* If I recall correctly, it's NonTrilogy that needs the most attention.-
Yeah -- I just realized one story can't make the cut because of what I did to the DeLorean in "Teen Doc." Also gotta cover that in "Fire and Rain" -- hell, I should make a page listing what I did to each DeLorean, and when!
-VD2: Which reminds us, how about throwing one of US the invisibility bone? Our Trilogy counterpart is the only one with that technology.-
Yes, but he's also the only one with a train.
-VM: No he's not, Lightning--
I'm including him in this analysis. He and proper Trilogy are the only ones with a steam train, so they need that technology a bit more than you.
-TD: Still would be nice.-
So invent it already, that's what the lab's for.
-TD: Point! Come on guys!-
-RPD: Just a moment, Miss Writer here owes me a Sims update.-
Careful what you wish for, RPD :D
-RPD: . . .-
Oh, relax, it's just a few pictures of you and Marty climbing out of a hot tub in [livejournal.com profile] revison_doc.
-M: *looks* Ew! Vic, that's a Love Tub!-
It's what Jennifer's parents have!
-M2: Well then, we demand a regular hot tub for our house. I don't want Doc visiting me and having to use a Love Tub.-
Not a problem, Marty, I generally buy the regular kind anyway. And yes, this time I have a Eureka update too:

I have completed Von Braun Musical Theatre! Was a bitch to find the right outside wallpaper -- I finally just settled for this stuff.

The inside is supposed to look moderately high class, with a coffee bar and bookcases. The stage with the cut-off corners was a bitch to make as well -- I managed it on one side by accident, and it took me forever to reproduce it on the other.
-TD: Emma visiting here?-
Why not? Eureka!Doc probably will too.
-H: *grin* Pink Tux?-
LOL, no. We're going Victorian here.
-H: Awww.-
-TD: *whew*-
-RPD: That just leaves Where It Happens, right?-
Yup -- the Sparky nightclub. I'm putting a Telsa coil in there.
-TD: Wonderful!-

Anyway, I'll get to fic organization now. As well as a few more "V.D." revisons and starting on "Strange Bedfellows."
-TD: Oh good, something else to poke you about.-
-VDM: Huh?-
-H: We're 1930s too, remember?-
-VDM: Oh, yeah. Weird.-
Victorian-Dressed Marty still getting used to the idea?
-DW: It IS a hard idea to get used to.-
