You Should Drive a DeLorean

You don't take yourself too seriously, and you prefer a fun, unusual car... like this Back to the Future gem!

Yes, I'll admit to trying to make my answers fit a DeLorean -- then again, a fully tricked-out BTTF DeLorean would be my dream car!
-D: How come you haven't "borrowed" one of ours yet?-
No driver's license.
-VD: Saved by lack of Driver's Ed.-
Well, we're always supposed to be moving. . . . I might take it this year. Anyway, how are you boys? Feeling better after taking the time train out for a spin?
-TD: Oh yeah! This was my first real trip to the future! I love it!-
-OD: And if it weren't for the tentacles, he'd probably still be IN the future -- Albert practically acted as a leash. *Albert "grumbles" agreement*-
-TD: Don't tell me you didn't think all that technology was interesting. Flying cars, holographic signs, clanks of all shapes and sizes--
-VD: It is a thrill, we've just seen it before.-
-VD2: I don't understand why you were so excited. Half of that technology seems to be available to you from your "Boy Genius" origins.-
-TD: Not all of it. Television and radio is still rather new to me, you know, even given my 1930s background.-
-VD2: That's true. And Victorian-Dressed Marty--
-VDM: *pokes TeenDoc* Invent radio for OUR universe, damn it.-
-VD2: -- is very into the concepts.-
-VDM: Music from anywhere? How could I not be behind that?-
Hehe. Well, pick up any more future technology?
-OD: A few more futuristic tools. Still wish the Holo-Tool actually existed. . . .-
-RPD: I just wish I'd gotten more use out of mine.-
-DW: We also indulged in a bit of spa living.-
I noticed your coat looked a little glossier.
-MF: *grin* Sonic brush. Didn't even bother our ears, either.-
-OD: And the kids got shined and oiled up. *tentacles happily chatter, showing off their new shiny finishes*-
I feel bad for you, RPD. You probably missed out on all the fun.
-RPD: Not really. I saw Griff and his gang hanging out by the Cafe 80s, so I possessed his car and drove it around the block. You should have seen their faces.-
-D: *laugh* Yes, we saw that. Griff was poking the car with his bat when we left.-
*giggle* Well, glad to hear you lot had fun.

Visited Hill Valley tonight -- it was just your average day at the McFlys, for the most part. George and Lorraine have still got it, flirting with each other whenever the want strikes them (or, more accurately, Lorraine).

George is keeping up on his skills, practicing Charisma today and gaining Cleaning from doing some household chores.

Culinary skills also abounded -- Lorraine learned how to make cereal and hamburgers, Marty learned how to make waffles with banana, George learned how to make pancakes and a banana split, and Dave -- well, Dave just managed to cook something without setting it on fire. He's bad like that.
-M: *can't resist a snicker*-
-VM: Sort of appropriate he's dating April Robinson, she of the constantly burning Robinson stove, in Twin Oaks Park then.-
LOL, yes.

Work was interesting for our three working Sims. Dave actually almost missed his and Lorraine's shared carpool -- I forgot to cancel him out of playing the bass for creativity. He just made it on at the last second.

Linda, however, had an exceptionally good day at work -- she got a promotion at her first shift to Freelance Photographer. Since she had a shift that same day from 2 to 7, I decided to have her take the car in for a few hours. Result? A second promotion to Freelance Web Designer from two hours' work as a Freelance Photographer. :D

Lorraine's day was pretty typical, though she did hit a money milestone -- I forget which one.
Marty's doing good, still working on maxing out his creativity via guitar.

He spent a good portion of his afternoon and evening on the phone with Maggie McFly -- he wanted to be friends with her and William, and she had the better Daily with him. He succeded late that night, yay.

Aren't some of those expressions just too adorably cartoony?
-M2: Kinda weird, honestly. Especially when the eyes get really big.-
Anime!Marty!
-VuM: Hey, I've seen Anime!Marty in that Super BTTF II game. He looks odd.-
Head-heavy you mean.
-VuM: Yeah, exactly.-
Heh. Anyway, he also made a point to have fun -- SSX3 baby. I like the detail that goes into making the computer game. I should really have my Sims who own computers buy a couple more.
-J: Buy Sims for the Sims!-
I should!

Really, though, it was just a typical day -- earning skills, doing random shit when I left them alone. Still haven't moved out Dave and Linda. *rolls eyes at self*

So let's end on a interesting synchronized dream:

Dreaming about Marty? Or the mysterious "Calvin Klein?" You decide. :p
-RPD: All well and good, but what about Eureka?-
I haven't forgotten -- I created Flowers by Helen today in Narbonics. Once again, a shop designed to be bought, but with some ready-made merchandise in the meantime.

Exterior -- went with a green theme with red accents. I also added lots of trees, flowers, and bushes, and painted on grass that had flowery accents to it.

Interior -- one of my few places with single-occpancy bathrooms. I thought it was small enough to justify it. The back shelves and one side wall are all buy catalogue plants, while the front shelve and other side will be florist creations.
-RPD: *grin* Very nice.-
Tanku. Back to Downtown next -- should I do Darkness Falls?
-VD: Either that or Eastwood Museum.-
LOL -- I might look for some cowboy stuff on Mod The Sims 2 for that.

And in story news: Chapter 8 of "Boy Genius" is up!
-TD: Yes! Now for "Strange Bedfellows."-
Well, I've got a week for that, and it needs some editing.
-H: Well yeah, but it'll still be the next up for us.-
-VD: *poke* Don't forget, you also need Chapter 3 of "V.D." up by the end of the month.-
Don't worry, I intend to get on that shortly. I'm just looking over a drabbles88 for posting a bit later.
-VD2: Oh, good. For OckDoc, Doc, DocWolf?-
Nope, it's another AU actually. I don't want to spoil it.
-VD2: You're using this to explore every little thing that pops into your head, aren't you?-
Well, isn't that what it's FOR?
-D: What about organizing my universe?-
Ugh, I discovered I'd made an interesting ommission, and now I have to figure out what parts of the year all these stories would occur in so I can sort them better. Blah. Plus, there's two I want to combine -- "Parallel," which is about different dimensions (centering around the famous Twin Pines Mall experiment) and "The Talk," which was Doc explaining to kidlings (originally Marty's, then his own) about the DeLorean -- but I can't figure how what would be causing the dimensional jumps. I want to do a mechanical failure, maybe, but that feels like borrowing from MJ Holmes and [livejournal.com profile] foxywriter. . . .
-M2: I thought WE dimension-hopped when two time machines did the impossible and time traveled at the exact same time.-
-D: Or what about the Clock Tower Conduit?-
Both true, but this wouldn't take place anywhere near the Clock Tower, and if I did the usual "double reflux," I'd end up stranding foreign dimensional Martys in different dimensions. Wouldn't be a problem as I DON'T use the seizures thing, but still, feels awkward.
Not to mention it wouldn't work in a few versions. . . .
-D: Oooooh.-
Yeah. I'll figure out something. That story would be far in the future, anyway.
-M: Yeah. What was the story you forgot?-
"Time Mix-Up," of all things! My next NonTrilogy! *headdesk* I gotta figure all this out. . . .
-VD: So very glad you planned us out so thoroughly.-

I just read your new chapter for Boy Genius. I think it's awesome! The dimensional hopping stories by Kristen Sheley and Mary Jean Holmes are among my favourites - and I would like to do a story like that myself. The tough part will coming up with an original idea of why they're trapped between dimensions. I like Lisa's take on the dimensional hopping as well. Anyway, I really like all of your stories. You come up with lots of great ideas. :)
