It's a Boy!

Yup, Adelaide popped it out! Yay, no stuck pregnancy! I must have missed a bump grow or something -- I occasionally get that if the pregnant person travels to another lot while pregnant (you know, someone invites them over or some stuff). Let's look at the flow chart:
The early morning hours of Sunday were pretty uneventful -- Jim headed off to work, and the girls made breakfast while Henry did the cleaning.

J.C. and Henry also bonded a bit more, J.C. showing off her dancing skillz. Looks a bit like she's about to kick him in the crotch, don't it? "Careful, J.C., Adelaide may still want that!"

Henry made himself some lunch after cleaning, then he and Adelaide both took naps. His neck looks broken in this shot. O.o

J.C. called Marty, and they had a long chat about school.

Then she listened to some tunes in the bathroom. She LOVES that MP3 player, let me tell you. Whenever I leave her alone, she whips it out.

Then it was off to the mirror to practice romance and gain a Charisma point.

Henry and Adelaide woke up later that afternoon, and spent some quality time with Adelaide's bump.

Then Adelaide once again took care of her rapidly-sinking needs as Henry hit the dummy.

Jim arrived home with the want to invite someone over -- I had him call up Bella Goth for a friendly game of red hands and some jokes.

J.C. also called up someone else -- Doc Brown! I figured she really ought to get to know him better, seeing as she's named for the humorverse fangirl. "Yes, this is what I want to do to you!"

Even Adelaide got in on the act, best-friending her old friend Abhijeet Cho.

She and Jim also got the chance to converse a bit more over dinner, which gives me better hopes for them eventually becoming pals.

I sent everyone to bed at 10, then watched Adelaide carefully. Her bladder forced her to get up early -- I had her use the bathroom, then wash up and unclog the toilet. And at four o'clock, as she was preparing to mop up -- "OWWWWW!"

I immediately work up Henry and sent him in -- he arrived just in time to see the birth of his son! And for his son to see him, apparently.

Everyone, meet Christopher Hardname. A close up at his face reveals brown hair and eyes -- looks like he takes after Daddy.

Adelaide played with her kid for a bit, then passed him over to Henry so she could energize and not starve to death. Henry did some cuddling, then put Christopher in his crib so he could pee. That's where I saved, actually.

Adelaide already wants to go back to work -- I may have Jim play nursemaid the next time I play, as Monday is one of his days off. But I have no doubt that, between the three adults and one teenager, Chris will grow up into a happy, healthy toddler. Wonder what he'll look like when more of his facial features express themselves? *fingers crossed for Adelaide's ears!*
-RPD: Ahh, always nice to have a new face around. Will your villagers be breeding when they move in?-
I'm not sure with the Carters, and Tannen needs a wife first, but yes, the Smiths will be trying for a baby a few days after they move in. Not sure on names -- should I call a son Lupin?
-RPD: Well, this is going to be an odd neighborhood, so why not?-
-DW: How goes the writing?-
Got a nice page done on "Gift and Curse," despite the fact my gel pens decided to rebel -- had to pick up new ones this afternoon. I also got the NonTrilogy timeline done up to early 1991 and "Double Reflux." I'm putting the months each story is set in/around as guides.
-D: *looks* 1986's stories are really clustered around early summer, aren't they?-
Yeah, maybe I should have left more space between "Teen Doc" and "Dark Half." Ah well. I'm trying to keep it to three adventures per year so you don't get too stressed out.
foxywriter, weren't you the one who said that about three or four would be a good number per year for these guys?
-M: Works for us. Especially with how angsty your stuff gets.-
-J: What about the rest of 1991 and the other years?-
After 1991/1992, things start getting sparser. I suppose this does make it a little easier in a way.
-D: You wimp out every time we have kids!-
I do not! I never INTENDED for you to have kids, you know! You were going to be my bachelor Doc! And then Gypsy apparently pulled a Jedi Mind Trick on me or something!
-TD: Really? Cool.-
-D: *grin* Yes, my girlfriend has her points, despite being the only normal one.-
Normal?
-D: In this group.-
Ah, yes. But things are going a lot smoother than they were before. I still need to pin down Susan's birthdate, though.
-J: Susan?-
-D: Second daughter, first biological child.-
*nodnod* I've apparently got two different birthdates for her -- on the NonTrilogy bios, her birthday is listed as February 20th, but on the timeline, it's listed as December 20th.-
-M: *whistles* Big difference.-
Yeah. She has to be born after the 1992 story "Hearts That Beat As One," so I have to figure out how late in the year that's set. I might end up using a March or April birthdate in the end.
-VD: Are we allowed to state again how happy I am you planned my timeline out so extensively?-
-D: *rolls eyes*-
Well, Doc was my first, I had to make all my mistakes with him.
-VD2: Anything else? Drabbles88, "Strange Bedfellows," "V.D." edits? Or are you still thinking about Amercian McGee's Alice and having her be your Halloween costume?-
The NonTrilogy Drabbles88 prompt is going a bit slowly, but hopefully I can get it to pick up. Really gotta get "Strange Bedfellows" edited soon, though. And "V.D." Chapter 3.
-TD: So it's the Alice one.-
To be fair, it does seem to feature some lovely steampunk technology. The Mad Hatter's a mad scientist.
-VDM: Thus cementing Emmett -- or Doc, I suppose -- into that role for all time?-
Fraid so. And yes, it's the older Doc version.
-VD: Oh yay, we get to play with steampunk.-
-TD: *grin* It's really fun, you know.-
-RPD: The time train is a living testament to that.-
Precisely.
Anyway, I'll be off to get some more stuff done. Let me just give you the latest up-to-date info on my story stuff -- I already did it for BTTFOnline:
1. My FanFiction.Net Account -- I have 50 stories posted, the latest being the August Back To The Fan Fic challenge fic, "Shot Through The Heart."
2. Back To The Vampire -- I've started posting an edited version of "V.D." and am still working on the BTTF/Girl Genius magnum opus, "Boy Genius."
3. The Drabbles88 Table -- I'm putting in fairly regular entries for the Drabbles88 thing Moose and I invented. So far there are 23 "drabbles" completed.
4. Upcoming projects --
Vampire Doc Chronicles: I plan to work on editing all current stories before writing any new ones. There is one future VDC in the wings, "U.E.A." (This is, of course, if I do end up finishing both story arcs. Looking more likely nowadays)
NonTrilogy: "Past Amnesia" is written and ready for typing.
Trilogy: I have two short Trilogy stories ready, "Three Streets" and an untitled piece.
Night and Day: "Dusky Past" is written and ready, though I'll probably be revising "World of Darkness" first.
Jokes: Nothing yet. (Really gotta write those "Terminator 2" themed pieces eventually)
Crossovers: Still working on "Boy Genius." I'm also writing the next of the OckDocumentary, "The Gift and the Curse."
PreTime/1955: I have "Strange Bedfellows" written -- just needs editing. Future Back To The Fanfic challenges will probably provide more material.
Other: I am planning a new "Tales of the Muses" soon, "Musevolution."
-DW: Oh, good!-
Heh, yeah, can't put it off forever.
Night all!

(The vampire thing, obviously, made me think you'd find the hilarity in this.)
