The Good, The Bad, and the Noisy

-->We found the disc for my printer installation, so now I can get that all settled. I'll do that tomorrow morning, most likely.
-->I also found the disk for WordPerfect! So that's all installed, and my stories are accessible the regular way again.
-->I FINALLY got into AIM's website and reset my password. The new one is safely written down, yayz.
-->Sims installation went very well. I went up to OFB, put my saved games back, tested -- yup, everyone there. Pets installed fine, and we're good to go.
-->Speaking of Sims, my game is confusing me in a good way. In short, it's not taking five million years to load neighborhoods and houses. I haven't yet gotten out to a community lot, but I have high hopes. Looks like my habit of writing while the game loads is over.
If you recall, I originally created Ariana Roase to help me test out certain components of Nightlife. I figured that, being a single sim in a small house, she'd be good to help me look over some Pets things. So I went in and visited.
Interesting glitch to start off with -- her covers forgot to unfluff when she abruptly found herself awake.
Ariana started her day off with a nice, early-morning swim. After a few laps around the pool, she was feeling very fit.
After breakfast, she called up Gypsy Robinson for a chat -- didn't quite make friends, but they're very close. :) Both sports junkies, it appears.
Ariana then went off to work for the day -- she came home with a promotion to Party DJ and a friend, Komei. I had them chat a bit, then sent him on his way.
After doing bathroom duty, I had Ariana make a very special phone call. Specifically, to the local Pet Adoption Center. Here's the officer arriving with a new member of the family -- Ari greets him warmly.
Everyone, meet George the Kitten.
George was orginally named Bonkers, but the name really didn't seem to fit. He's a Genius, Between Hyper/Lazy, Independent, Between Agressive/Cowardly, and Finicky. He's also quite adorable -- I look forward to seeing him as an adult.
Ari and George spent the rest of the day bonding and chilling. I look forward to figuring out how these reinforced behaviors work.

-->As a result of all this computer stuff, I didn't get much writing done today at all. Bleck. I'll make it up to you tomorrow, OckDoc.
-OD: *tentacles nodnod* New computer game -- we know when to step aside.-
-->The Ariana update above is actually take two of that day -- the first time, as Ari prepared to go to work, my monitor suddenly blanked out on me. It didn't turn off, exactly, but it acted like it had suddenly gone into standby mode. And I couldn't get it to come back up. We had to reboot the entire computer, which meant I couldn't save my work.
The Noisy:
-->My computer is very loud. I don't know what it's doing to be so loud, but it is.
-D: So we can go back to poking you about the stories now?-
Yup, you can. I did a little editing on "We're All Mad Here," if it helps.
-VD: Good start, anyway. Hopefully you can get right back into it.-
I intend to -- I rather missed being able to write on my stories these past few days. Maybe I'll celebrate with a pets-related Drabbles88.

It would indeed, I hope. :)
Right now, though, I'm tracking down pictures of Einstein so I can make him for this weekend. Sunday's Doc's birthday, ya know!
