More Wonderlandness
Oct. 24th, 2006 10:04 pm-RPD: Figures, huh? At least it's Sims.-
-D: Why don't you just admit you have a crush on the Mad Hatter and get it over with?-
. . . ^^;;
-D: . . . You DO have a crush on the Mad Hatter?!-
He's not that bad looking. . . . And at least one version of him is a tinkerer. . . .
-M: The psychopathic version from American McGee's Alice!-
It's more the way NuttyIsa draws him! He's cute!
-VD: *headdesk* We give up.-
*patpats* Most of the thoughts are crossover.
-MF: She's right -- she's got this whole idea of a "Marty In Wonderland" comic.-
Yes, now if only I could draw. . . .
-OD: How about you finish the Hatter!Doc drawing first?-
I did get a little more done on him -- though his hat's giving me issues. Hmph. Ah well, I'm sure I'll figure it out in time for Halloween.
Anyway, Sims update -- part of the reason I played the Wonderland family was because I wanted to dive into having a pet, and this family recently gained a new member:

Alice was very happy to see her beloved cat again. She and Dinah caught up via Cat Teasing (odd little toy there):

White Rabbit is not pleased by the catnip mouse we got for Dinah.

Dinah is a very good cat so far -- she loves to scratch on her kitty tower, not on the furniture. Hatter praises her warmly.

Breakfast, anyone? Dinah chows down at her dish while Rabbit serves up cereal for everyone.

At 7:00, Cheshire heads off to his EMT job. He looks rather odd in the uniform.

Alice headed off to school a while later, leaving the rest of the boys home alone. Cue me doing my best to keep them away from that blasted tea set. Mostly I have them play together and clean up all the dishes they make.

Dinah was quite baffled by Dormouse. A huge mouse? Dancing?

She decides to chew on her catnip mouse instead. Dormouse doesn't approve, initially, but then figures that it's better she chew on catnip instead of him, and praises her.

Loopy on catnip, Dinah decides her tail is TEH ENEMY. Hatter and Dormouse try to ignore her in favor of chess.

Rabbit scores an Athletic job on the computer. I actually got very lucky today -- ALL of my remaining boys there were able to get jobs in their preferred fields! Dormouse in Slacker, Hatter in Science, and March in Culinary.

Rabbit discovers Dinah has been sitting on counters and promptly scolds her. "NO! It was you getting on the table that started that terrible fire! You stay OFF the furniture!"

-VD2: For those of you not in the know, American McGee's Alice starts off with a sequence in which Alice's house burns down, trapping her family inside. The reason she's in an asylum is because of her intense guilt over being the only survivor.-
Tanku VampDoc2. Alice arrives home with a friend in tow, Tracy. Cheshire arrives home an hour later with his own friend, Renee. They shoot the breeze for a while. Rabbit also uses Cheshire's ambulance to hitch a ride to work. Nothing sadder (or weirder) than a Rabbit dressed up as a llama.

Here's a cute sequence -- Dinah dreams about the Cheshire Cat, and later, the Cheshire Cat dreams about Dinah! (Nobody scolded Dinah for being on the bed yet -- I think they're more concerned with counters and tables at the moment.)

Alice tries her hand at showing a lump of brick who's boss. Then she and Cheshire have a game of kicky-bag to both up relationship and fun. Only a few people in the house are friends with each other at this point, but I'm working on it.

Afternoon tea -- March Hare does some farting (boys) while Cheshire shares a TV dinner with Hatter. Once again, working on relationships here. I suppose I should also be pleased to note the tea set still works. . . .

Most everyone seems to get along with Dinah though. Dormouse praises her for using the litterbox -- having Hatter and March be Sloppy 1 each is quite enough for me, thanks!

And Cheshire, although he's puzzled by the lack of a grin, is more that willing to play with his new feline companion.

And of course Alice adores her kitty. Just so long as she stays off the furniture and away from anything that could upset a lamp. . . .

Dinah seems to prefer the kitty condos, though. Here's a few close-ups of her surveying -- she's a single-layer, all black cat as seen in the American McGee's Alice opening sequence. I gave her blue eyes and a pink collar based on the Disney Dinah, though.

As everyone else heads to bed, the recently caffineated March and Hatter stay up for a small chat. March's score with Hatter has to be the worst, so I'm going to be concentrating on that for a bit.

Then they headed to bed too. Dinah came around wanting hugs early in the morning -- too bad everyone was asleep. I left her asleep in her basket.
-RPD: You seem to like Pets so far.-
Yeah. I like a lot better than I did Unleashed, anyway. I had Einstein for my Hill Valley Browns, and of course my main Makin' Magic family had the cat, but otherwise I pretty much avoided animals. These animals are much more fun.
-TD: Probably a bit too fun.-
Hey, I got a lot written on "The Gift and the Curse" this morning. And I'm working on the Breakfast drabbles88 prompt right now.
-DW: And sending out "We're All Mad Here?"-
Sure, if Moose and Ael will read it. Probably good to get this up and get a bit of the Wonderland out of my system.
-Docs: *nodnodnod*-
But just so you know, I really wanted to read my Part II novelization this morning. BTTF is still going strong.
-VD2: *chuckle* Don't worry, we didn't doubt THAT.-
-TD: Given that almost all your Wonderland thoughts seem to center around us as the Hatter, or at least a Doclike Hatter. . . .-
:D Hey, it's fun to read about him that way.
Anyway, time to write. I also have more of the Sim Interview to do.
